SMAXZO I can see Kyras giving such a weapon to the Chaos forces as an offer for additional power, more daemon power, or later, used against the chapter as an offering to create a Daemon of Nurgle.
The weapons that the Blood Ravens took from Chaos no doubt show up in Chaos Rising. They were probably taken under orders from Azariah Kyras too, who was already under the influence of chaos.
Dark crusade was kyras securing chaos relics and other heretical artifacts on kronus to solidify his place as a servant of chaos. Soulstorm was a strategic move to discretely kill loyal space marines to secure the blood ravens to serve chaos.
@@nobobonobo It can be attributed to Chaos too. If you played as Eliphas, it will mention several times of his Dark Crusade. I guess it applies to the Blood Ravens too after what happens in Dawn of War 2.
Now it makes sense of course that the black artifacts they found on demos peninsula were not taken to the librarium to be destroyed. Kyras wanted them.

Eldar were solemn and esoteric sounding themes, etc, etc.
+BigDickCheney Any advice to where to start to search for music like that? Its true, in the epilogues you get the right feeling for each one, i have limited music, only the one i find in youtube, but tend to be too generic in case of roleplay music, or similar, any advice?

I think is because both had order to take planet. Blood Ravens ordered Guard to retreat from planet while they purge it. Also they couldn't allow planets secrets to fall anyone else. As for guard leaving would go directly against their orders. And in Imperium not following orders kills you.
After listening to all the After Action Report(s), it makes you wonder who OFFICIALLY won the great battle of the Dark Crusade. I guess we have to wait for the next game to see which of the 'winning' storylines was canon.
I've beaten dark Crusade three times with the Blood Ravens, and the After Action Report re: victory bay stops at the reference to the traitorous guardsmen to be executed. The techpriest part is not there. How did you get the techpriest part, BigDickCheney?
I'm now rather interested in what exactly was meant by the comment that the Avatar's remains would cause 'no small amount of trouble.' I mean -there's a story there! Personal gripe about the game that can be ignored: Why on earth were the Guard given a single heavy weapon team as their new unit? I mean, ratling snipers, rough rider squadrons, just about Leman Russ variant (I loves my Exterminator) - heck, even heavy weapon teams with the *full* range of weapons would have been better.
@ride4ruin Dude no matter what I do I can NOT find ANY info or lore on the old ones or the origin of the orks, what do you know about it? plz that question has plagued me like something from nurgle!
If properly played, the game would early on say that the guards men had been designated to protect that system, when the other forces came to the area, the ravens were sent to clean up the mess. the guardsmen had wanted to clear the sector themselves to prove their strength and restore their honor. the ravens were not in the mood for taking orders from a simpler group, so they resorted to clearing them out just as the others
acegikmo31 It was a bit more complicated than that. It was also a form of cover up, since there were ancient Blood Raven relics on the planet. For this reason, the Blood Ravens needed to purge the planet and secure these relics before anyone else could find them. (as it is revealed in the Imperial Guard campaign, those relics proved that parts of the Blood Ravens' official history is forged) Because of this, they did not want any other Imperial forces on the planet, in case they found these relics, so they ordered the Imperial Guard to withdraw. Sadly, Alexander had received his orders from Segmentum Command, and a single Force Commander did not have the proper authority to overrule such an order. Thus, for the sake of protecting their precious relics against any non-Blood Raven forces, they were forced to attack and eliminate the Imperial Guard.
SuperOverlord94 true, and with the forces of chaos being present in almost any of these games, the blood ravens had right to believe the guardsmen (or atleast a partition of them) had fallen to the temptations of chaos.
@MKllDark4ngel Yeah thats why Kyras (Chapter Master of Blood Ravens) is tainted by choas. Yes Gaberial Angelos started a civil war aginste them but still... the chapter is currupt, to the point where most of the first company are now considered forces of choas.
According to Lexicanum, this is the canonical series of events on Kronus, except for the fact that Governor Alexander survived the fall of Victory Bay. Alexander would later be killed by Shas'O'res'ka on Kaurava III.
Actually here is the lazy writting of Relic, there is no way the ending is canon but lukas survives. There is a contradiction. 14 y reply but I dont care.

i think taldiers end by the ravens was kinder that the ig end, as the ig handed her over to the inquisition, she would face terrible torture there, but it will teach her to attack humanity
Though on Rehe's Paradise The Eldar were more allys then enemies to the Blood Ravens. So why he says they were traitors on Rahes Paradise i could not say. And Many of the Blood Raven's Victory's were because of either intelligance or physical help through battle from the eldar

The Blood Ravens defeated the Imperial Guard (Avitus speaks of his blood lust and hatred of guardsmen after victory bay, and Kyrus rewarded him after the battle), Chaos (Thule states he saw Eliphas die), the Necrons (Reclusiarch Mikalos died fighting the Necron Lord, giving time for Thule to destroy it), the Eldar (Kyrus speaks of interrogating Farseer Taldeer and taking her soul stone afterwards when he killed her), the Tau (Tarkus won great honours that day in the city of Asharis, gaining Terminator honours). The only one in contention is the Ork defeat, though I may be missing something from the dialogue of DWII.
The only way the 3rd company of the Liberators are referred to as the Daemon Killers is if you play as them in the campaign. Otherwise they're just a regular 3rd company cos they get their arses handed to them by the Astartes.
The canon ending
true, true but i just wish eldar werent enemies with humanity
OMG, why dark milenium online will be not relased ;_; this is searning pain for my heart :(((
Maybe to leave it for more expansions :)
ahem ahem, i dont think humanity minds that, but they dont owe anyone anything cos humanity would grow no matter what, we humans are too strong and ambitious to stay as a single planet, so as i said, the eldar caused all problems and should fix them instead of bothering humanity, humans would make an alliance if eldar didnt fight them
ork blood isn't red it's a green substance.
that never made sense to me, why do humans fight humans (Not imperiumvschaos, imperiumvsimperium)
True, I never said I hated Thule, but I agree Boreale sucked as a commander.
dornofgreen Boreale's strategy was similar to Horus when he was intentionally trying to kill his own space marines...
