  • I show you guys how to record and produce Dreamy Pop vocals in Ableton 11. I had done a video like this a couple years ago but I've learned a few more things since then. I figure why not give you guys an update on this process!

    Thanks for the video, right now i am trying to replicate this in a live gig situation, what's your tought about it? have you tried vocal effects live? thanks again

      So sorry for the extremely late response!
      I have used vocal effects for live performances. I used to use an Ibanez delay (guitar pedal) and then later on I got the Boss delay/reverb vocal pedal. It can work but it all depends on the room you’re performing in. It all varies depending on the acoustics.

    hi how are things! Do you do mixing and mastering work remotely? Where could we contact you to talk? I have a shoegaze band with which I would like to be able to mix and master, since we have everything recorded. Greetings and thanks for your videos! they are fantastic

    wait, why a pop filter if the shure sm7b already have one

    • @bananalabs
      @bananalabs  Год назад +5

      For safety measures. I’ve recorded close up vocals without a pop filter before and those unwanted pronunciations still come through. Especially when you’re singing close up against the mic.

      I appreciate the video!
      Typically a pop filter will be placed 2-5 inches away from the mic in order to do the best job at eliminating plosives, but in that case you lose the proximity effect, so it’s a trade off

    I don’t find this as much to be for pop artists, maybe you could incorporate it somehow. But pop vocals you think of TheWeeknd, Justin Bieber, Charlie Puth. Etc. just my opinion.

      Yeah this video is intended for Dream Pop not Top 40s Pop.
