So after we got through the entire Bayverse of Transformers movies we now move into the new stuff and this came out in 2018! This is BUMBLEBEE. On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee the Autobot seeks refuge in a junkyard in a small California beach town. Charlie, on the brink of turning 18 years old and trying to find her place in the world, soon discovers the battle-scarred and broken Bumblebee. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns that this is no ordinary yellow Volkswagen. We thought this movie was awesome seeing this done in a different light we actually really appreciated it and the story was awesome as well not too big but just right and if I’m not mistaken this is a prequel to the Michael Bay Universe maybe idk haha

Bumblebee had something that the other Transformers movies didn't have and that's heart.

This is the masterpiece that rebooted and saved the Transformers franchise. Such a good movie too. I still tear up in some scenes.
Bayverse still way better in some aspects

This movie has heart and soul. Just the scene where Bumblebee meets Charlie in the garage has more heart and soul than entire Michael Bay-franchises put together.
No not really, this movie is pretty mid.
This is officially the start of the reboot so we can basically forget everything that happened in the first five transformers or just imagine they’re in their own little separate universe. There are a little few references to the other movies in this one, but they seem to ignore the fact that Sam’s great grandfather discovered Megatron frozen in ice. In 1897 and in transformers 2007, Sams character was talking about it in his high school class like it has been a part of textbooks in schools for years. Already at this point the discovery was well known enough to the point where he felt comfortable talking about it in front of the whole class, and no one told him to shut up or that no one believed him. That’s a pretty big detail to leave it at this movie if they were connected.
Can't just forget about those movies, plus they still do certain things that are way cooler then this movie.
The director for Rise of the Beasts said that it follows Bumblebee and it's a rebooted timeline, it might have a few nods to the Bayverse but it's a different universe

The beginning if this movie is better than all of the bay movies combine.
"The Touch" is a rock song by American singer and guitarist Stan Bush. The song features prominently in the 1986 animated film The Transformers: The Movie and appears on the soundtrack album released that year. Travis Knight chose to set the film in the 1980s since it was the decade that the original Transformers TV series, of which he was a fan, was released. Despite Knight's direction differing from the previous films' style, Bay never tried to force Knight to change the film's more story-focused direction, instead supporting Knight during production. Knight also used many elements from the original TV series and the G1 version of the franchise in the film, including the characters' original designs.

It's only the second transformers movie since 86. I don't know what those other movies were, but they weren't transformers.
Yeah Bumblebee started off being a prequel to the first 5 films of the BayVerse Transformers. But due to the critical panned Last Knight, they decided it was a reboot and Transformers Rise of the Beasts is a sequel to Bumblebee.
In the original script Optimus wasn't supposed to appear at the end the truck bumblebee follow was originally planned as a easter egg and the post credit would reveal sector seven capturing and icing Megatron. To match up to the 2007 movie.
This was a solid reboot and It was good to see how he lost his voice 🔥
Just remember, bumblebee movie is a reboot, not a prequel to the Michael bay saga.

I love the sequences showing the war on Cybertron and the bond between Charlie and Bumblebee. I especially love the casting of Angela Bassett as Shatter (the red Decepticon) and John Cena was hilarious as the doofus Agent Burns.
8:24 they played the same song(Runaway by Bon Jovi)in stranger things too! When el escaped from Hopper's cabin and went to find out the truth about her mother.

Absolutely a reboot because in the original movie there were four pods falling to Earth with jazz Ironhide ratchet and Optimus but in that shot there were like 6 pods an optimus was already with bumblebee

i love this movie this was a masterpiece it saved the entire franchise i am excited about seeing rise of the beasts which is a sequel to this and a beast wars transformers movie in one
It is not a masterpiece at all. It's a pretty basic movie. I honestly don't see why so many people act as if this is the best thing to ever exist when it's just average at best.

It’s a soft reboot but according to Universal, it’s a prequel to the Michael Bay Transformers and Rise of the Beasts is the second movie chronologically
It's not, it was originally intended to be a prequel but they scrapped that idea mid production and made it a reboot instead, this and RoTB aren't connected to the bayverse films
All the Transformers films are Paramount, not Universal.

BB movie reminded me of ET Mac an ME Escape to Witch Mountain an any other movie that had kids being chased by the military because they had something they found
So this was filmed as kind of both a reboot and prequel. The agent from the other movies was cast with a young actor but they cut him and all references to the other movies out.
between Bee and Bay the military working with the Autobots is reference tp Transformers crossover with G.I. Joe. In the 1990s Marisa Fairebore in transformers is the daughter of Gen. Fairebore from G.I. Joe
When a transformers have two alternate modes one is usually aerial and the other either land or sea they are called triple changers or they can have two robot modes and one vehicle mode like with punch/Counterpunch they also have six changers with five alternate modes and a robot mode

There is a marvel comic that is extremely similar to this movie. Except thr transformer is skids. He is just really happy to leave the war vrhind snd just be a woman's car and friend.

The dumbest thing about this movie is the fact that they want us to believe that the Americans believed in and trusted aliens named Decepticons so easily.
Like I said earlier this has nothing to do with any of those past movies. The directors made up screenplays and storylines. Had absolutely nothing to do with the origin of the comic book.
Fyi the decepticons are whats know as triple changers. And FYI This and Rise of the beasts has nothing to do with the 2007 movies. Bumblebee was the start of a do over. But yeah not 1 thing to do with the 2007 and up movies.

And btw Bumblebee was actually co direcred by Michael Bay, and new Rise of beasts is also Michael Bay.. its just a rebooted movie, director same.
Bumblebee is not a part of the Michael Bay version they just uses some of the references that's all
the first time i seen john cena in this movie i was like They really turned my man heel XD
for the longest time in WWE he was a good guy no matter how many times fans cried for him to turn heel they never pulled the trigger, fast forward to bumblebee and fast 9 they turned my man john cena into a bad guy and DAMMIT he played a good one, the one thing i didn't like is how they turned him into a good guy
He wasn't really a "bad" guy, just an antagonist. He's a soldier, doing his duty, and he has every reason to regard these alien robots as a menace.

I find it funny that now a days the word Decepticons means someone that is evil or shouldn't trust but did anybody knew that word before the Transformers toy line was introduced or even heard the word before the toy line in Japan the Decepticons are call Destron a name that i freaking love and prefer over Decepticons and the Autobots are call Cybertrons i also prefer over Autobots
