      Why do you come across like a RUclips car salesman with every car? Have some polish and balance with your videos. Folks, every car can't be 5 Stars as Raiti would lead you to believe! I've never met a car reviewer who loved every single thing about every single car! HORRIBLE!
      Things you loved: Fake Vents, Tires That Only Last 10K Miles, $33000 for 208hp... theres only 1000! No tech or features....but its old school!

      @@metromusic5725 Most people hate that ugly yellow orange stripe on solid black. BRZ spoiler looks way better. And basically in every way BRZ has more leather inside and better infotainment. Another issue with TRD is that nasty drone monster of an exhaust. If I somehow got this car for free I'd instantly trade it in for a limited brembo brakes BRZ.

    I bought a new 2019 86 TRD at the end of January. It only had 6 miles on it when I bought is and now I have over 14k miles on it. I love my car so much! It is the most fun I have had driving a car! Would a little more power be nice? Yes! But honestly i don't think it really needs it. It is so much fun to drive around twisty roads and i may or may not have allegedly gone 134mph so it is plenty fast. It is a real drivers car. And when i drive my other cars or other people's cars it just isn't as fun.

    i got my TRD 86 in June 2019, and i love it so much. That's my baby. it drives so well, the pedal box is set up great for heel toe, the brakes are so amazing, around a nice curvy road i never find myself needing more power. spend $1500 on a nice header and a tune and the torque dip is gone and you will never ask for more power.

    The 86 looks the part. It handles the part. It's not going to win a drag race. It's not designed for that. Yes, it could use another 50 horses (and a ton of interior design tweaks) and it would be perfect. The 86 is a fun car to drive. Think of a bigger version of the Miata. It's a handler and does so better than most vehicles on the road. BTW, it'll still run 0-60 in the 6 second range. It's not slow. It's not fast. The interior, like I said, is simply horrid. But that's another story.

      The Spartan, so to speak, interior Will weed out the posers though. That thing is amazing in any trim, and sometimes I wish I'd gone for the 86. I wound up with a Veloster N though, no slouch either as I tested both. The lightness of The 86 is freaking magical. Nice Review Joe, it's awesome to hear your reaction when you push this little fella 😂😂😂!!

    OK Joe: Toyota 86, or Mazda MX-5?

    • @RaitisRides
      @RaitisRides  5 лет назад +1

      That is so tough Ed! I dod love the top down fun in the Miata but the 86 is more comfortable. I think I may go 86.

      @@RaitisRides I've never driven the 86, but have been in one. I had an NC (2006) MX-5 that I liked a lot. But then, it had a bit more room than the ND, which needs to be a tick bigger both inside and out, so I know what you mean about comfort. On the other hand, the 86 is just TOO retro - looks like a '90s car, especially on the inside. Looking forward to its refresh/update.

      i actually got my TRD 86 from the dealership for 28k! they had it in the showroom for over a year and i could just tell they wanted to sell it so i haggled a bit and got the price down from 32k to 28k with included chip protect and tinted windows (no extra cost). Im sure the toyota dealership sold it so low cause they needed more showroom space for the upcoming 2020 supra.

    I like these a lot, I loved my Subaru variant when I owned it, and it's still an amazing driving experience...but in 2019, they really need to add a bit more power to the car. It's not nearly as good of a value as it was when it debuted IMHO, unless the buyer is dead-set on this somewhat traditional sports coupe 2+2/RWD layout, in which there are very few options available remotely close to this price.

    So you gave two different production numbers during this video and haven't been able to find the answer online. At the beginning of the video you said they only made 1,418. then about half way through you said 1,484. haha Which number is correct?

      Its disgustingly overpriced at $33k. Carries no value or practicality either. Fake Vents, McDonalds pin stripe, no tech or convenience, but then again thats because its "old school".

    Hmmm...I like it, but $33K is a bit up there. But you'd be one of the 1400 so if you're a TRD fanatic then it'd be worth it.
