- The plaintiff says he bought a car from the defendant, but he claims the vehicle was altered without his approval, so he no longer wants it. He’s suing for his money back. The defendant claims the plaintiff knew she was going to remove lights and decals, and she says he approved it but later dumped the car on her.

I LOVED this case, but especially the ending! This is the absolute best example of justice being served! Karen thought she was going to win for sure😂 she actually had the car impounded out of spite to cause the man to pay to get it out, which was way more than the car was worth. She did that because she was angry that he left the car and wanted his money back. If she wouldn’t have been so greedy and spiteful the whole court case probably wouldn’t have had to happen. Poor Karen! I just love seeing REAL justice being served right up. Sadly, it seems like a rare thing! Oh and I must add in my book here....this judge is some kind of FOXY!!!!

Yeah, the judge is very racist so I was really surprised to see that guy win. She was already mad because he had a broken foot, she could've stopped and said please sit down. The only reason he won was because the Karen knew a cop and had the car messed with.

Interesting the amount of information one can achieve when they have a “friend” who’s an officer. I’m sure her friend who slipped her all that info and was quick to impound the car, can AGAIN work something out with her to get it released.... Her problem now! It can be fun to be petty but sometimes that boulder rolls back down onto yourself.

I’ve never heard of getting a ticket for abandoning a car. & the officer who ticketed it, should have some sort of consequence as he was friends with the defendant and he was clearly biased.
I agree. I'm sure it happens a lot, but cops shouldn't violate their duty to help out a friend by creating a law, so to speak. Very abusive of his authority

They are called smart cars because a German car manufacturer called Smart was the first to manufacture the compact vehicles 🚗. Therefore Smart cars.
They are expensive and one version didn't pass the reindeer test. Since 2020 they only make electric cars.
I usually agree with the judge, but she sounded air-headed asking about the car. The first thing that comes to my mind as to why it's a smart car is that it saves fuel costs for the owner. DUH! Then saying "let somebody else get killed in it..." was stupid. I forgive her though. I love her show.

Wow! The Judge got this one exactly right. The seller made unauthorized modifications to the vehicle after the sale which voids the previous agreement. Milan's judgments are a little spotty on automobile cases. I was kind of worried, especially when she called the guy sketchy. Pork Butt knew exactly what she did that's why she refused to let the car sit on her lot.
Her judgment is not "spotty" on automobile cases. Her judgment always follows the law. You're just an arrogant moron who thinks her rulings are supposed to follow your FEEEEEWIIIINGS. That's not the way it works.

I get sea sick everytime he speaks. His nerves are causing him to rock back and forth, the camera man is a straight SAVAGE for keeping up with him.

When someone is SWAYING like that while standing, or frantically jiggling a leg while seated, it's the equivalent of a mother rocking her baby to soothe it. They are actually trying to self-soothe themselves. I don't buy he has a broken foot for a moment. They don't realize they are doing it, but that's what they are doing. It's a nervous reaction.

It seems as if this lady is a scammer and possibly scammed multiple people trying to buy that car. She intentionally tells buyers she needs to remove lights from the car, then has her mechanic rig the car so the check engine light come on and has electrical problems. Then when the upset buyer leaves, she sits the car outside her lot and has her FRIEND who's a cop come write a ticket and a "abandonment" report. She didn't count on the plaintiff taking her to court and actually calling the impound lot and getting info on the car. When he said the price to get the car her immediate reaction was "why would they give him that information?" even though "it's not my carrrrr" .
I'm sure she takes thousands from people. Gets the car impounded and auctioned off then she buys the car back for like $500 and rinse and repeat the cycle.
I say this cause if you're intending on selling a car , WHY TF WOULD YOU WAIT FOR A BUYER TO REMOVE LIGHTS THAT YOU WERE PLANNING ON KEEPING REGARDLESS? Would you remove everything you wAnted on the car before selling it? And what car lot does work on the car after being paid? Makes NO sense. She's a scammer.

Was not buyer remorse- the defendant damaged the vehicle afterwards . If the plaintiff didn’t get his money back, he should have gotten recompensed for the electrical and decal damage.
Defendant knows the police, or didn’t tell the whole story when the cop came. Probably knows the tow yard as well.
Judge , a smart car is a car create to park in small parking lot like we have in Europe : when you live in big cities in Europe , it’s a pain to find a parking place : this is why these car were created in 1995 in France ....

If the tow yard knew they wanted to sell that car, without the lights and whatever else, then they should have done that work first, then advertises car for sale. Not advertise a car for sale sell then after the sell start removing things from it.
I had CarToys installed a new Stereo-deck in my car. Six weeks later while I was driving at night my electrical system went up in smoke. I took it to a lic mechanic and they said it was the stereo harness, that whoever installed the radio crossed some wires. CarToys said no, it wasn't the installation that caused my $1,500.00 in electrical damage. I couldn't find a shop that will put it in writing because of the legal battle they would have to deal with CarToys. Yes, if you don't know what you doing you can cause major damage to a car's electrical system.
PS don't go to CarToys their nothing but high-end scammers!

Judge Milian's attitude is horrible some times. This is exactly why I don't watch The People's Court on a consistent basis. The Defendant is such a shyster and liar. The Plaintiff did not "take possession" of the vehicle. She left it at the window place ... after she had that extra shoddy stuff done.

Should have taken all the stickers and lights off before sale. If you ever seen a car that had big decals removed from it , you would have wished they left them on . Even done with a heat gun you still can see shadows of old decals and sometimes it takes repainting panels or just live with it.
