13:23 I attempted to get the achievement “Wrath of the Mercenary”, I think it is, and I thought I’d do it in the Absolution but I got so bored and quit playing it. It’s so boring because it’s so OP!
Is the Absolution an overpowered tank? Yes it is. In my opinion by far the best tier VI tank in the field. Flashback to a couple of years ago. I started playing WoT on PS4 because it seemed so much fun playing in tanks. And it was. Finally a game where reaction time and speed is not the only way to win a game. Your tactical thinking and strategy was way more important than the speed in which you can point and pull a trigger. I did not buy my way into the game. Instead I was grinding patiently. Up to tier IV it was still quite easy to grind and get your packages. The gameplay was fairly balanced and even in a bad tank you could make a difference. But from tier V on it became more and more difficult to grind your packages. I was constantly short of silver and xp and barely could buy myself some consumables. In WoT in the higher tiers it takes forever to grind towards a better tank. On top of that a lot of enemy tanks seemed to easily penetrate me and kill me in only a few shots. How many times I was in front of a tank of the same tier I just could not penetrate. Even not from the side or back or at a distance of 10 meters it seemed. The amount of times I was hearing ‘it’s like we are shooting spitballs’ is staggering. And this in multiple languages! This was no fun anymore. So, I had to become a better player tactically to beat the pay-to-win premium tanks with premium ammo, spamming gold. I learned about sidescraping and the mechanics of camouflage. I learned about where to shoot and where to go on the map and which spots were best to snipe. I learned about tracking and spotting, relaying a signal. But still no matter what I did there were so many pay-to-win overpowered tanks with premium ammo that I barely was able to achieve a win-rate of 50%. How many times I was perfectly sidescraping with my tier XI or X tank to be easily penned by a golden tier VIII tank is staggering. I just completely gave up sidecraping, because it was a tactic that just did not work. It was better to hide everytime and try to come up unseen from behind. Even to this day I hate sidescraping. Anyway, I stubbornly persisted and kept on going. Even when I suddenly was up against an enemy tank that was able to shoot me 3 times in a few seconds. What was that about? He must have been cheating. Well no, I learned there were tanks with an autoloader. I was perplexed! In which universe was this a good idea? Is Wargaming trying to ruin the game? Yes, WoT is a free-to-play game. That is true. So you can not really complain about a game that is free? I did spend some money on buying gold and premium time in the beginning. But not that much. In total less then 50 euro. In essence the average amount of money I would spend on buying a new game on PS4. So free-to-play is rather relative. I never bought myself a tank in WoT. I could not bring myself to actually buy a good tank. I was up against so many bought overpowered premium tanks stacked with premium ammo and with fully trained crews and filled with consumables an supplies, that I resented it to ever buy a tank. I wanted to be the better tactical player, because that was so much more fun. Also I did not like the way WoT was evolving. The games became more and more unbalanced in the matchmaking where sometimes you would be up against an enemy team with many more higher tier tanks. Even when I myself was in an overpowered team it was no fun winning from the enemy. A game would only last a few minutes. Indeed, so many times you could see that in one of the teams almost everyone died in the first 2 minutes. There was not even time for a tactical gameplay. WoT should evolve to a game where you play 30 against 30, or even more. Imagine playing in an epic 100 against 100. Really getting the feel of a real tankbattle. But to achieve this they should balance the game more and bought overpowered premium tanks should be way less overpowered. It also would be nice to see a new gamemode where you can play with historic tanks with accurate technical specifications. For example to genuinly experience what it is to be a Russian T34 against a German Tiger in WWII. Get the gaming out of the game. Instead WoT just added more colors and bells and whistles. And we are still playing 15 against 15. Anyhow, at some point I earned myself an Absolution. For the first time I was able to penetrate higher tier tanks on a regular basis and some shots even bounced of on me! I could destroy premium tanks without using premium ammo. The experience of the game changed drastically for me. It had become a completely different game. I could do things with this tank I never did before. I would rush and scare the enemy or first snipe, engage and later kill them off. Anything was possible. The tactical possibilities were endless. I was afraid of nobody. And because I more or less mastered the skills of WoT I sometimes was relentless in the way I litterally destroyed tanks. Suddenly it was way more fun playing WoT. Yes indeed, a player with no skills at all would do quite good in this tank, but a player with skills should be outstanding. Forget about this boring sidescraping and waiting for your tank to aim in a static game. The game became an active tactical experience with lots of possibilities. The games against higher tier VIII tanks, with me being the only tier VI tank, were so satisfying. In many games my heart would be pounding like crazy. This is what a game should be. At a certain point they came up with the spring, summer, autumn and winter games. Now I was earning so much silver I could buy myself lots of premium ammo and consumables and camouflage for my Absolution. I trained my Callahan-crew to 15+ skills and perks. My Absolution became awesome. I almost stopped grinding other tanks completely. I just kept grinding somehow to earn me specific trophees. Honestly I play mostly with my Absolution now, because it is so much fun. Is it a coincedence that around that time the playerbasis of WoT dropped drastically? Now the unexperienced players with no skills who were playing from the beginning with bought premium tanks suddenly started disappearing. I suppose for the first time they were getting killed by players like me. Always grinding till now, learning the game, acquiring the necessary skills and finally owning a good tank. It takes a special person to play the special and awesome tank Absolution! Well this is my take on the game WoT. I hope WoT evolves for the better and that Wargaming would listen more to their fanbase. Have fun!
Awakened it shoots lightning bolts, with a stupid long reload. It is also radioactive - you get close and it works like a flamethrower in all directions. It is hard to use though because you aren't mobile enough to get next to reds.

I received this tank in a chest last year, played a couple of games and found I need to trade it in for something better but you can't. So now it sits with no practical use.
It was an ok tank 2 years ago. Could have some great games to balance the tier 8 shit show, but powercreep and that unneeded nerf has struck this tank hard. Get in a deep discount bundle deal if you need a another crew trainer,but any of the other monster tanks are better for your free selection.
I actually have gotten this, the Lycan and the Revenant for free. Just bought the Inferno due to getting one of the loot boxes for free which contained an STA- 2 (which I already owned). AKA I've gotten three great tanks for free lmao. Grinding to get the Höllenhund, pretty close.
This tank sucks, Unless you really like the Japanese heavy tanks or collecting don't get this tank get heavy tank number 6 instead, monster mode definitely not fun but at least it looks cool in it.

The Kaiju sends out a electric shock around the tank, but still sucks. Maybe if no one plays it they can at least buff it's monster ability
