Excellent sequence of movements and emphasis on core strengthening. Ariza is an outstanding conditioning coach. Also great on Khan for working so hard.
Alex Ariza was my inspiration to dedicate myself into strength and conditioning. Although I am a marathon runner but strength and conditioning helped me to prolong my running career. Thanks Alex!
jamil akhtar Huh what do you mean he didnt train his chin, you cannot really train a chin, you can work on punch resistance to the body but its quite hard to do the same to the chin.Listen whether its Khan or Cotto, if someone gets put down then that's how it going to be, boxing is that type of game, I just don't understand that when Khan goes down people tend to say he's got a weak chin and when someone 3 months later like Froch goes down nobody say's nothing. I just dont understand, Khans knockouts get over exaggerated to the point where they say he has a weak chin, well the likes of Dela Hoya, Hatton, Froch, Fraiser, Tyson have been down does that mean they have a weak chin!!!
Jamal Owens yep, amir has always had good strength trainers, point is the best boxers incl floyed, pacman, etc.. all do one training more than others, and thats core, your core connects your arms, fists to your legs, so power has to transfer from legs to hands, simple!, the best coaches tell you where power comes from, legs yes, but ha sto travel through the core!
Two things: Ariza. I learn a TON from his workouts. Keep these vids coming PLEASE!!! Khan versus Mayweather? I'm getting a feeling that if that fight does happen, the chances of Pac vs May will increase. I just know it.
I admiring thriller kahn and I'm surprised that training goes as such.I train with similar intensities but I admit, having a trainer(s) makes the grade/makes all the more difference.Good going, and the best to both(all fighters)
Maximal strength isn't too important in boxing. It's more about sustaining a high level of power throughout the entire fight - ie cardio vascular fitness. And punching power or speed is largely down to again your fitness, your technique, and the magic quality that some fighters have which others do not - the ability to punch.
i think depends on the tactics for fight, eg: if plan is for a lot of in-fighting & a physical type fight, then physical strength is gonna be important, if tactics lean to staying on the outside, more focused on speed and movement, then not as important, so tactics style of opponent i think dictate how much strength wrk will get done, but overall it's def useful to be physically stong in boxing as long as it doesn't diminish the speed that will produce to force / power in punches
I agree with you to a certain extent but by a physiology stand point the only way to increase punching power or power period is to get stronger and increase your maximal strength(if the individual has reached their peak power)! Obviously technique takes precedence over any kind of S&C in boxing but alot of these exercises he is doing are speed strength exercises(rate of force development) which ultimately plateaus if an individual does not increase maximal strength!
"I know he has a new strength coach [Alex Ariza] and I don't get along with the guy, and one of the reasons why he doesn't work for me anymore is because I think he's a little shady, you know. He used to give Manny [Pacquiao] a drink every day before we worked out and I asked him, 'What's in that drink,' and he would never tell me. And I said, 'I need to know what's in that drink because, you know, you're giving it to my fighter and if something goes wrong, I'm gonna get the blame.' In my opinion, he's a little shady," Where did I say I agreed with Floyd? I didn't. I said Ariza was fired for giving Pac mystery drinks. Proof above.
Lin Johnson Ariza would not risk his high profile spot to peds; sports science is an evolving faction and if someone doesn't want to disclose what they giving the fighter only because it's a small world and once that catches on everyones going to be using it and then they won't have the edge; just because the man didn't want to give away his secret doesn't mean you're doing something illegal let's talk about the stuff that other boxers take than never get caught with; all bullshit aside if these guys know what they are doing they know when to take it and when to stop taking it and how to get it around a drug test it happens with bodybuilders in happens with elite athletes if they get caught because they were stupid or they didn't know what they were doing at the time; If you think that in the elite athlete brackets those guys are all clean your out of your mind being involved it's sad but it's true it's a reality
RossKempOnYourMum01 the boxing community is a small world just like any other niche in any type of sports endeavor I don't think Alex Ariza would risk his name and countless opportunities with up and comer athletes if he was really pushing pedds
yes he is he left early just to train chavez up for a while currently hes back in the phillipines with manny, freddy was pissed off at him though for leaving even though manny and amir khan gave him permission to do so.
alex is saying that, for amir to tighten his core..chi/energy, does come from your stomach, but it´s NOT a theory, bruce lee made up..! it comes from a practice in china, that has been around for centuries, it´s called chi kung or qi gong..energy does originate, from a place, in your lower abdomen, called the dan tian and quite a few kung-fu styles, especially shaolin, work their energy, spirituality, through chi-kung.
you don't need to buy any video to learn boxing strength and cond. It's all about simulation of movement boxers do . all the rest depends on your imagination. I am a strength and cond coach and more than 50% of the routine is of my own. when i feel the movement is right I do it and then add viariations. He is popular because he is known. That doesn't mean he is the best in what he does.
Amir's starting to talk alot in the media, twitter, web...It's ok but he's probably thinking about getting Manny in the ring down the line even though he denies it. Khan can't beat Floyd, so I'd rather Manny fight Khan before Floyd does.
@SickK8GSXR600 He already fought Judah. MP Official upload videos like everyday or most days. This video was uploaded yesterday. He's training for Peterson.
well considering muslims were out of his political beliefs. the only muslims he could really affect were that of north africa. but he was on their turf miles from home.

he's trying to win.. hard work dedication that's what's going to pay off,
This is proper strength exercises combined with plyometrics, all weight resisting exercises. Very good to do.

amir khan great fighter

Amir Khan the best fighter in Sheffield.

ALL HARD WORK BOYZ!
Esos ejercicios estan bien caducos
Muito Bom!
Trust me ariza will be working on amirs maximum strength at some point.
Is this a fullbody routine?
Agreed!
exactly!
Ariza is the dude that Roach fired for giving the Pacman mystery drinks. Don't downvote - look it up.
Whoah Marshall slow down man, YOU GOTTA LOSE YOURSELF!
Lin Johnson
I'm a hater? LOL > LOOK. IT. UP.
Roach caught Ariza giving Pacman drinks and he wouldn't state the ingredients. REPORTED FACT.

just because the man didn't want to give away his secret doesn't mean you're doing something illegal
let's talk about the stuff that other boxers take than never get caught with;
all bullshit aside
if these guys know what they are doing they know when to take it and when to stop taking it and how to get it around a drug test it happens with bodybuilders in happens with elite athletes if they get caught because they were stupid or they didn't know what they were doing at the time;
If you think that in the elite athlete brackets those guys are all clean your out of your mind being involved it's sad but it's true it's a reality

if you're not gonna say yeah i like it, he's gonna change you.
what kind of gloves are those?
Is this footage of him before his Bradly fight?
yes he is he left early just to train chavez up for a while currently hes back in the phillipines with manny, freddy was pissed off at him though for leaving even though manny and amir khan gave him permission to do so.
Amir could become a great.
Make him work his ass off Freddie and Ariza :D!
"I like it."

is ariza still training manny for bradley ?
lol ' i like it, thats it, faster, harder'
alex is saying that, for amir to tighten his core..chi/energy, does come from your stomach, but it´s NOT a theory, bruce lee made up..! it comes from a practice in china, that has been around for centuries, it´s called chi kung or qi gong..energy does originate, from a place, in your lower abdomen, called the dan tian and quite a few kung-fu styles, especially shaolin, work their energy, spirituality, through chi-kung.
thats some hardcore shit.. wish i had training like that
Same work out as Pacquiao. But Pacquiao never shown tiredness. But kudos to Ariza.
he said ill be ready. dam sure wasnt ready to get ko by garcia lol
thoughest part is that he has to get up before 6 30
Very nice and osam bra
0:31 like is he screams "fuck dat" while exhale xDDD
U know why Alex says tighten that stomach? Bruce lee had this theory that your chi (energy) comes from ur stomach..

2:58 Wow, he's training for afterfight conference with Maywheather?
Amir seems like a nice little boy but he's not ready for Mayweather. Floyd does workouts like these as warm-ups to his real workouts lmao.
Ariza who???
😎
that looks easy :-p
u train hard, the fight is easy.... well.....if your a good boxer that is...
He should do some chin training
3:17 Floyd knocks him out
Amir's starting to talk alot in the media, twitter, web...It's ok but he's probably thinking about getting Manny in the ring down the line even though he denies it. Khan can't beat Floyd, so I'd rather Manny fight Khan before Floyd does.
@SickK8GSXR600 He already fought Judah. MP Official upload videos like everyday or most days. This video was uploaded yesterday. He's training for Peterson.
I wanna jump that high lol.
wtf??? he's a world champion!! What you on about? What you mean smokin' junior?
Similar to Pacman but I rather do exercise from a knock out artist than Khans
well considering muslims were out of his political beliefs. the only muslims he could really affect were that of north africa. but he was on their turf miles from home.
nope. never saw any chin strength exercises!
what happened between them ?
***** personal politics
