    An awning. I think that's the word you were looking for. An awning over the balcony. BTW this video nails some very important points that no other artist mentions.

      Thank you! 🙏😊
      I always use awning in the context of stores - but it makes sense here as well (:

    Liron! You are explaining such important points im unable to concentrate on painting plus your tips..i dont know the solution..maybe you could pause video? Example..tou were explaining that circle with centre gray ..

    • @LironYan
      @LironYan  10 месяцев назад +1

      I want to try a different narration format, where I watch the video with you, talk, pause and rewind as I do that (instead of just letting it run).
      I think it will be better for videos with many ideas outside just the explanation of the process.
      Will give it a try and hopefully it will help 🙏🏼🙏🏼

    Did I miss it, or did you say the colors you used for your darkest dark? 🤔

    • @LironYan
      @LironYan  10 месяцев назад +2

      I might have not mentioned it, sorry!
      I mostly achieved the darks by using the same mixes (same blues yellows and reds) - but using more of them, less water, and also a little Neutral Tint

      @@LironYan actually makes perfect sense, especially with those colors. Nice!

    Would it be easier to use flat brush for this painting?

    • @LironYan
      @LironYan  10 месяцев назад

      Perhaps, but I find them more useful for more large scale cityscapes.
      These windows and square shapes are large enough to be considered a shape in its own right (so I wouldn't necessarily "delegate" it to a specific brush shape).
      With larger scale cityscapes, I find a lot of the PATTERNS have sharp corners, and for that - a flat brush can be more useful.
      With that being said - this is very personal. For someone else a flat brush will be absolutely key for getting the right angles in the windows / shadows etc... And that's perfectly fine (:

    Liron, do you elevate your paper?

    • @LironYan
      @LironYan  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you so much! 🙏
      If you refer to the angle, it's at a very gentle 10 degrees perhaps.
      But I sometimes hold the paper in hand to angle it in specific directions
