@boogsss2 I guess I meant it was obvious they're just mindlessly playing. Their combo extender didn't land but they're not paying attention to any of that. They were gonna make those inputs regardless of previous ones being successful. At least with ones like the first clip, they're not buffered options
@@rodgeers7347I will say with certain combos, (being a bayo player) once you get a read on how fast the person reacts to your combo(s), you can sometimes get away with continuing the combo to the finish. It just depends on the length of the combo and the character you’re playing

Probably just me…but did Luigi’s grabs seem longer than usual? Distance wise. Can Luigi extend his grab distance?
Some characters have tether grabs or command grabs that have a longer range than usual.

I think most of these are true combos, and if not they just require reading DI, but you can still prevent your opponent from even fighting back, thus preventing them from even having fun. Smash ultimate really sucks.

i can't imagine a good reason why. you can mash out of it & recover with most characters, or stay away from the ledge the whole time. i don't think most players really care, either.
i mean, i don't even play kirby, but let's just say my friend was horrified when i dropped to the ledge as kirby on purpose to use my b button. he wasn't even mad, we were both laughing at the fact i got to throw him under the stage so easily.
