The strongest army is the one that is able to cleanse its country from the enemy.
It's not how big it is, it's what you do with it that counts.
This ranking essentially takes into account conventional forces. If we look at nuclear power, the spacial arsenal, the capacity of autonomy of production of high-tech weapons, the classification has nothing to do with that.

Based on military spending alone the Russian military is about number 6 to 8 in the world. As we see in the Ukraine war, except as a deterrent nukes are quite useless. In conventional arms comparing Russia to America is like comparing a mosquito to an elephant. Comparing the Russian military to NATO is like comparing a mosquito to an even bigger elephant.
