    I love the tiny works of art. They remind me of the old 3x3 photos of the 60's and 70's, from the old film cameras. My dad took 100's of photos, some of which I still have. I paint small most of the time.

    Thank you for the review on all of these mini brushes. It’s so helpful when we want to make a purchase. The panda and bunny are adorable ❤️. I’ve painted small, but not tiny. Now I want to give them a try…challenge myself. I find I get in a comfort zone and really need to get out of it! This might be a good start! Thank you!!

    Thank you! I appreciate that you took the time to show us the brushes. I paint rocks with acrylics and watercolors. I amvery much a novice and I struggle finding the "Perfect " brush cor very thin lines. I like to outline my work and I like borders. I look for more of your videos as I would love to learn to paint with watercolors more.

But gift all my friends and they are delighted (lol). 😂 Probably why they're still my friends. Hehehehe. But thank you so much! You are lovely and your paintings are amazing!!!

    When the handles ar every slim/thin, to add thickness, try wrapping the handle with electrical/gaffer tape (about 1inch/25mm)

    Can you recommend a specific set of lebenzon brushes. I'm undecided whether to just get small or a mix... I paint in a variety of sizes... which is your favorite small one?

    The Japanese style of watercolour brushes may suit you well. They’re designed from the bamboo brushes, so they have a fatter handle that shrinks down.

    I like working small, but don’t work that small - that feels cramped. I have made greeting cards and I often do 5x7 or 4x6. With some of my slender handle detail brushes, I wrap the handles with the same painter’s tape I use to tape my paper down. Why? Cause it was sit’n there next to me. I mound it up to a preferred thickness and shape it to suit my hand’s need. It doesn’t make sense to me pay a lot of money for the handle. More important is how much paint the tip holds. the lines it can produce and how the paint releases. I’ve been using Princeton aqua elite liner and series 7 Winsor and Newton brushes. These have a small “belly” to help with grip and manipulate the brush.

      I tried the tape hack on a skinny brush today and it worked great! WAY more comfortable! Thanks for sharing your thoughtful comment!

    Would the lebenzon white synthetic or the itty bitty orange work for these ?

    • @EmilyOlsonArt
      @EmilyOlsonArt  2 года назад

      Yes! They probably aren't QUITE as fine a point as the natural bristles, but those are super brushes.

    I ordered that labenzon brush (I believe from your site). It has long loose hair at the tip, making it difficult to paint. Do I cut that hair?

    • @EmilyOlsonArt
      @EmilyOlsonArt  2 года назад +2

      Don’t cut the hair! The brush needs to be thoroughly wet with warm water before using, to help the bristles absorb paint and stay in a point. There are more thorough brush instructions on the Lebenzon website. :-)

  • @AbraCassandraCrafts

    I really wanted to buy some of the Lebenzon brushes but the person I got into contact with was very rude when I asked if they use paypal as I NEVER put my raw credit card info on any website that isn’t super mainstream since it’s been stolen multiple times from websites like that. Pretty much got told, you either pay this way or you don’t get the brushes since they will never use PayPal. Not very professional but on the bright side it saved me $250.
