DVT Thrombectomy Steps with Dr. Raja Ramaswamy

The process of mechanically removing thrombus is explained. Dr. Raja Ramaswamy discusses starting with wire placement across the lesion, using a stiff wire like an exchange length Amplatz or Rosen if required. The access point is then dilated to fit the ClotTriever device manufactured by Inari, which typically uses a 16 French sheath. The ClotTriever is placed above the clot to remove the thrombus mechanically. This process is repeated until no more thrombus is visible.
