Either way court should send him into a mental institution for a few days for an evaluation, that would be a win-win (for the court). If he's pulling a stunt maybe 10 days in a mental institution AND a penalty fee for sucha behavior, including ALL the extra cost of he's attempt to "cheat the system" will draw a line for him and others who think they are "way too smart". Now if he IS hearing voices well then the court will had done a great favor to him, he's family and society by providing the help he needs before this gets out of hand. As I said a win-win.

    Clearly he's not a "true believer" he's just a jerk. Maybe he's just trying to act insane for an insane defense. Unfortunately for him, being sent to a mental institution, especially when you're not crazy, is infinitely worse than being sent to jail or prison.

    This one really gets under my skin. He obviously overlooked the scripture that says you are to obey the laws of the land, UGH!!!
    Hey Mike, question, when I saw him take a drink it reminded me that Judge Middleton who is so mild mannered has a serious issue with people drinking during zoom court. He really gets hot under the collar. Are you not allowed drinks in court? What if you have serious dry mouth and could not question a witness without water? I have seen people on court on TV with water while testifying. Any idea why taking a sip of a drink during zoom court would bother an otherwise mild mannered Judge?

    • @LawTalkWithMike
      @LawTalkWithMike  3 года назад +2

      No that is odd. They usually have water on counsel table during a trial. It really is poor form to be drinking during a short zoom appearance but nothing too major.

    • @caburg93
      @caburg93 3 года назад +1

      @@LawTalkWithMike I think Judge Middleton is bothered when they are drinking alcohol, smoking, wearing a hat, or moving around too much. I don't think drinking water is a problem. He expects people to behave respectfully as if they were physically in court. One fellow wasn't wearing a shirt, but he was in jail and the jail didn't give him one! Judge Middleton spoke with someone at the jail and suggested in future they have some extra clothes. ;)
