- 60103 Flying Scotsman hauls the Royal Duchy Railtour from Bristol to Par through the South-West. As part of her 100 years centenary celebrations taking place across the country to mark the occasion.
Making a stop at Exeter St David's with the 9:07 1Z45 from Bristol Temple Meads. Before continuing along the South Devon Coastline through Dawlish Warren and Teignmouth.
She returns later in the evening with the 18:06 1Z47 from Par heading back along the coast, and arriving at Dawlish Warren at 20:24 p.m. heading steadily through on her way back to Bristol, before making a stop at Exeter St David's to take on water during a forty minute top-up to set down passengers too.
She departs Exeter just after 21:17 p.m. on her way to Bristol Temple Meads.
Flying Scotsman was 'saved' on several occasions, also visiting America + Australia..
Australian Tours were 'sold out'..
Steam Engineer said, "as soon as they hear a steam engine, you see them running out of thier houses + waving at the steam train from their back gardens"..
Why was this tour called royal ducky? Was there someone auspicious on board or was it because it was being pulled ɓy the king of steam?
