Scouts saw him at Kentucky practices. Some even say he was the best player in those practices. The way Dame and Simons can stretch the Defense he'll get his scoring opportunities.
Same reason people gamble: the allure of a spectacular lottery ticket is always more tempting than a (perceived) lesser, known commodity. Personally, I don’t get all the hype. If I’m a GM, I want that dog. I want that player who wants to play at the highest level they have access to, no matter what. One not afraid to expose his weaknesses. He had a chance to play at Kentucky. He chose not to. I want that player always working and always testing himself. Kobe went one on one with nba players in real games during his pre-draft visits. He didn’t hide to protect his draft value. Whom are the most successful nba players? The ones that work the hardest. So im valuing a college players who has tested himself like aj griffin over the allure of an unknown lottery ticket. Clearly several GMs feel the same way. Don’t get me wrong, I get the financial reasons behind what he did….but if I’m a GM that tells me his higher priority is securing that bag, not winning basketball. (Im not judging him, id probably make the same choice….but i also probably wouldnt be a all star caliber player)

bra people miss shots all the time😂
He got Paul George vibes
So why didn’t he play in college? Sorry I don’t follow college ball really, just NBA.
Coach Cal was trying to babysit him and have him for next season smh . #backfire
No, sharpe chose. He said so in an interview. Said he wanted to “get his body right.”
Good prospect, he looks like he plays a little lazy. I don't like mystery players I would take him in the 12-18 range.
I totally agree definitely not within top 5 range.
Paul George style you crazy man is a beast
There isn’t a team that would have let him slip taking the ten pick.
Someone explain why AJ Griffin is less valued than this guy? He weighs 20 lbs more. He shot 45% from three point in college while Sharpe didn't even play at all. Why do people value the unseen more than the seen? The untested more than the tested?
Scouts saw him at Kentucky practices. Some even say he was the best player in those practices. If he applies himself on Defense he'll get significant playing time with the Blazers, not too concerned about his ability to score. He can shoot and he looks like he can get his shot off.
First player that comes to mind is Paul George…
やべー
competitive :D the other guy isn’t even trying
How u put them shorts on, look in the mirror and be ok with the results with how u look lol
10 inch Jump shot....lol
A more athletic Devin Booker, picture perfect form on his jumper and the ability to hit contested shots.. That's why he should go number 3 behind Ivey and Banchero but the bias towards big men obviously will not allow that..
His game is similar to Jalen brown
Competitive? LOL. Really?
Nice eye candy and def has skills but in the league the pace is much quicker w defenders all over you. Would love to see him go up against the other lottery contenders in a 1 on 1 tourney each game to 7 n win by 2 lol.
Talk to Luka or James harden about pace lol
He would cook a lot of them imo he’s a top 3 pick imo he easily has the best scoring potential in the draft besides Paolo and Jabari, he plays better against comp when he was in high school I expect the same when he gets in the league
most overrated prospect in a long time
No handle
