Man, I don't understand why DevOps don't need programming knowledge. we should have to write groovy code to create Jenkins pipeline and we need python for various kinds of automation. and finally we should have super knowledge on both ShellSripting and Powershell. I think DevOps guys do various activities which includes more coding than a regular developer.
Yes, DevOps required Scripting skills but programming skills it depends the role and project you are handling . But if DevOps engineer have programming knowledge he will have good career growth with decent package.

However any MNC will consider educational criteria with min 60per.. BE BTech M. tech ME B. Sc IT.
For package wise everything depends on experience and skill sets.
Please don't mention that ppl will get 12 to 30LPA etc.
Kindly don't give any false info to freshers and other ppl.
P. s: my point of view. any fresher should understand basics of programming language. Without programming language it won't be useful.

Hi, sir I have been trying to get Basis job since long time, but I am having non it background experience and want to get in SAP with 3. 6 yrs of experience. As whenever HR is calling once my resume is shortlisted they are kind of asking non it background to IT why did you switch and then they are not scheduling interviews.
