I made this last year and man it was AMAZING & DELICIOUS!!!! But the turkey gravy was a cherry on top. I even had some leftovers that i turner into a turkey sandwich and till this day I still think about it. Thank you for the recipe!
this is really good. the compound butter is delicious. whatever you don't use add to your mash potatoes. it takes them to another level. nothing to improve or add on this recipe. it's a winner
This recipe, and especially your link to the recipe (which is so thorough, using weights and volume measurements) for accuracy, is extremely well done. You manage to hit on everything and I loved all the hints as well. Very nice job. Thank you!
I made this for Thanksgiving 2019...came out perfect! Did a whole bone in turkey breast and finished under the broiler. So flavorful and the gravy was delicious.
Butter makes *everything* GREAT! Your video and recipe = EXCELLENT! *I will replace the rosemary w/Winter Savory (this has a slightly oregano taste)! I am awaiting my turkey breast to fully defrost ... can't wait to try this! As another has commented, it also made my mouth water!!! Blessed holiday greetings to you and yours!
I've been watching this video all day!!!!!!... it's one of those moments I wished I could eat something through the screen hahaha... my first time doing thanksgiving dinner at home, I'm happy I found this recipe, going to try this. it looks amazing, every single thing on your plate does.
Thank you for your reply I hope to try it out for Christmas can you please tell how big the Turkey 🦃 was or better still what weight you cooked thanks again
Ground sage is made by grinding the entire leaf into a fine powder like any powdered herb. Rubbed sage is made by rubbing dried whole sage leaves to create a light and fluffy mix. Rubbed sage is lighter and less concentrated so a teaspoon of rubbed sage will be less intense than a teaspoon of ground sage. If your recipe calls for whole leaves instead of teaspoons of chopped sage, you can use the ratio 7 fresh sage leaves equal about 1 teaspoon of ground, dried sage. ... Therefore, you should always let your taste buds confirm how much dried sage you should use in your recipe. Stole that from some Google searches :-D
Cooked it today I have to admit I was a bit worried it would turn out dry But no perfect !!!!!Thank you very much for you wonderful recipes ps I went to my local butcher in the U.K. to get the turkey no problem at all

Now I just need to find a Butcher around my place that could debone and prep a Turkey for me like that. It would look like ground meat if I tried to do it my self. And 80% of it would be still on the bone lol.
@@mrcoz1764 lol my local is not that good...... you ask for something different and the guy behind the meat counter will wander out and check the stuff in the cooler and then look at ya and say "Don't have it" then walk back behind the counter and package all the bulk pre cut meat from their suppler.
this is so lean and requires much less than the whole bird whole oven method, its suprising we only do this for the holiday instead of alternating it with other meats
I did this last year and the turkey was moist enough but not enough flavor. I had a whole turkey breast bone in. Looks like you have half but your recipe says 5-6lb. I followed the garlic butter recipe exactly with a 6lb full turkey breast and the butter was definitely not oozing out. Should I double it and try again?
@nonyabizz3533 after it broiled and rested I cut it and under the skin was definitely dried up. All the butter was gone lol. I wanted it to drip like the video

What kind of oil? Olive oil?
Can I use ground sage instead of dry sage leaves? Most supermarkets here sell ground sage.
