Question: if you add an article you have already written and published say 6 months ago into the Source area + the best quality 2 articles ranking at the top of Google, can you then use the Content Gap Improver to identify gaps in your existing content and get ideas on what's missing in your article so you can optimise?

So, are you saying that it's saving it when I generate the article but when I click any of the tabs, it will always go back to the default and I have to add it again?

You have made a nice script though. But the thing there is it not that simple to understand.. like the source one and surce 2. I do believe that it will be very good to open source the code for it to be improved by other developer.
