If the moguls are skier made and not zipper line types, think of each mogul as a staggered stair step. Ski along the length of each step, rotate your upper body to look down the stairs and turn down to the next step and then ski along that one. Ski on the step, not on the riser.
Some instructors make it sound so complicated. It's not rocket science. Flow like water, grasshopper! And practice. I live my life in the bumps. "If you think the bumps suck, its not the bumps that suck"...Return of the Turn.
zipper line is going to be the camber line of our little bump so the black line would just be a part of our zipper, in reality its going to spend more time along the green line
In reality it takes a lot of time on the moguls to be able to ski them. You have to develop the muscle memory. All the good mogul skiers extend their legs as they hit the mogul, just slightly, to absorb the terrain.
There is no "easy" lines in bumps. There are low lines and high lines. Poor skiers only ski low lines. Better skiers ski where ever they want not being suckered into the troughs.
@@Skedawg88 I agree you can cheat the bumps but you must be specialized in short turns making more turns than are really necessary which requires so much skillful focused practice you probably won't be able to make medium turns.
1:19 Jerry shows up and decides to traverse the entire run in front of the mogul instructor 😂
I heard some good words here. Pretty good video 👍.
That run seems oddly familiar to me. 😊
Ha! You have skied it.
@@Skedawg88Once or twice.
Yeah Weavin!
and he proceeds to stem every turn

A picture paints a 1000 words, can you post a video of you doing a demo please?
Are you saying to ski on top of the mogul not in the trough?

Try this on East (ice) coast moguls...lol.
I think the technique is the same. And I'm from Pa.
What’s your favorite PA resort? Discovered 7 springs and think it’s a great place for the area.
not useful, i've seen much better mogul videos

Less talking, more skiing.

They extend their legs after the mogul, it is done to bring their hips on the other side of the mogul. Their legs bend when they hit it.

There are easy lines if you know where to look.
🤔
