  • Bryce Boettcher had an 11-tackle game against the Beavs and continues to shine as Jeffrey Bassa works his way back from injury. Who else stood out on Saturday? Ducks' center Iapani "Poncho" Laloulu was one of several in the trenches who shined.

Not only was BB playing at a high level, he was playing with the level of enthusiasm and effort needed by the rest of the team at ALL positions.

I agree with you about how the Offensive line played Saturday but will they have this level of success against the better teams, aka Ohio State? Things won't be so easy then nor will the line have so much dominance. imo

Spencer 0:02 - "I dont know that any individual, in this game, outside of Dillon Gabriel, stood out more than Bryce Boettcher..."
Come on, buddy, thats all you have to say about DG, as a top standout...where's the love? 🤷‍♂️
It would have definitely been his 2nd 300+ passing yard game, if he only played one more possession, and you previously downgraded him to only 5 (300 yard games) for the regular season...remember that?
You still sticking with that, if the O-line plays close to this level for the rest of the season?
He deserved more props than that poor attempt, skirting by his performance. 🤣😂🤣

I think Spencer has shown love to DG since he arrived in Eugene, maybe he didn't glaze him like krispy kreme this episode but I think Spencer has been pretty fair about DG and has praised him plenty

@@bobbybierk1512🤣 "...maybe he didn't glaze him like a Krispy Kreme"...that made me chuckle, Bobby. lol, it's amazing how those doughnuts are just so Sweet too...just like Gabriel's management of the offense was in this game! 😏😂
Seriously, he was by far the "Top Standout" which is what THIS "Tag Line" (in this portion of the podcast) was all about, Bro.
Don't get me wrong, I definitely agree there were others that deserved the praise also, especially Bryce Boettcher, for his outstanding performance. However, to not give Gabriel any props, after his brilliant performance, is blatantly and inequitably wrong, especially in the context of what this segment was 💯% all about. 🤷‍♂️
That said, Spencer did give DG the accolades he deserved on his next podcast, which was cool. 👍

Hey Spencer, I'm curious to hear your take. Which do you think is likely to happen either first or overall; Devin Jackson levels up his in-game IQ (play calling) or Bassa gets healthy and proves he is the clearcut starter for this team with the necessary physicality? Or do you think this is looking at the linebacker rotation incorrectly, because Bassa might be at coverage of out-routes, but Devin is better at creating pressures? Appreciate all you do!
