She uses "Cheryl McFadden" when she's a choreographer. And man was she incredible in this. Not just the dancing, but things as simple as guiding the baby around.
@@Certifiable Yes, noted… it was more of a playful take. For most, discovering her in this clip and wondering just shows how much more complex and versatile people can be. It was a wonderful time, with so many practical effects and genuine, wonderful humans being creative. I do miss this level of craftsmanship at times.
Nowadays that bit would of course be done entirely with computer graphics. 2:27 Some of you might recognize (Cheryl) Gates McFadden as the choreographer there. She played Dr. Beverly Crusher on Star Trek the Next Generation in season 1 and 3 through 7 and then in the movies.
@@Certifiable True. They had to get the whole gang back together at least once! I thought it would have been nice to have Dr. Pulaski make a brief appearance too. Diane Muldaur is still alive and probably could have done it. (She's 86 now).
The point was and still is for the creature shops team is NOT using CGI, we as humans react very differently to a live puppet than we do a Lycra suit with dots on, almost every actor that worked with them would say they forgot the character they were playing opposite was a puppet. Look at any Henson production, you'll see it.
Yeah I was expecting that, the Rock Biter, or maybe even the Gorgs from Fraggle Rock (those suits are about 8 ft tall). I completely forgot about the door guardian in Labyrinth.
How that happen though? Do people really not just even glance at what they've just typed to make sure it's fine? Especially when it's the TITLE of what you're doing? I don't get it.
dude this has been going on for 20 years now. When I was a kid, you could expect any professional production to have flawless spelling, then suddenly even the Associated Press had typos. Internet sites, you kind of expected lazy, low-effort writing, because it felt casual and they were doing it for free. But when you're running an official channel for something kind of important, I feel like it's time to hire the guy that's competent with english. That said, what, do I make no mistakes? Hell no. Just saying, BROADLY, there is clearly a drop in quality.
Proofread/spellcheck your headline, bro; right now it says "The Largest Pupper." Unless you're talking about a real bad case of flatulence, I don't think that's correct...
Holy cow! Is that Gates McFadden? Wow! Thanks for sharing these. I always loved behind the scenes docs and the craft of fantasy and sci-fi filmmaking.
As a matter of fact, she was a choreographer before joining the cast of Star Trek TNG.

Cool. It's nice to see people working in disciplines other than the one you are mostly familiar with - and have them be good at it.
She also has a cameo in The Muppets Take Manhattan
@bletheringfool When was that?
A big ol' pupper
such a good boi
Dr. Crusher wasn't just scanning people with medical tricorders, she was secretly choreographing this amazing movie.
This was BEFORE TNG technically!
Slightly before moving to LA!

💖💖💖💖💖💖
Damnit, I was expecting a massive puppy.
Don't you just love typos?
😂
Did they mean puppet?
@@Akira625 Love your pfp! Limbo's the best.
Gates McFadden! what a delightful surprise! (And the rest of the video is phenomenal, of course.)
Thank you
Dr Beverly Crusher ( Gates Mcfadden ) contaminating the timeline at 2:27 … that’s pretty neat to see her doing her “other” career
Gates McFadyen! If I wasn’t sure from her looks, it was her voice that proved it. Amazing!
Here before they change the title typo 😎
Massive pupper! 😂
same.
@@fugithegreat Show us the Dog!
I hope they don't change it!!
Typos plural...they spelled Labyrinth wrong too 😑
Amazing Behind the Scenes look at this character. Love the movie ✨️✌️
So that's what Dr. crusher did before serving on the Enterprise! ❤❤❤❤❤
Surprise Beverly Crusher cameo....
Yes, her previous career.
Here before the typo was changed.
How have they not noticed 11 hours later.
pupper > PUPPET Labryinth > LABYRINTH Come on Henson Company. Labyrinth is mispelled in the Helping Hands video TOO.
Nowadays that bit would of course be done entirely with computer graphics.

Don't forget Season 3 of Picard!

@@mistywolf312 No doubt about it. Just saying how Hollywood probably would do it today. Henson Studios dabbled in CG over the years too.
You are the Jim Henson Company, you do not need to slum it by making typos on purpose.
Surprised to see Gates McFadden working on this picture. That was a neat behind the scenes.
Like Clifford? Ohhhhh! "Puppet" I get it now.
Huh - I really thought this would be the Animal head rig from the climax of "The Muppet Movie," and... Waitaminnit, that's Gates McFadden!
Point of interest; Ambrosious was played by both a real dog and a puppet.
Ok, before pressing play who else was expecting Falcor ?

That “T” key is soooo close to the “R” key
I believe Barkley was the largest pupper they ever built
Typo: The Largest Puppet! not a Pupper 2:00 He's literally a giant robot! under remote control.
I hope someone fixes that typo.
Somebody needs to use their spellcheck.
seeing polyurethane foam taken outside on a sunny day had to make a ton of people cringe.
