- My wife and I recently explored the gravel roads of Ashtabula County. It was a shorter route, great for beginners, that included a covered bridge and some winery stops. Enjoy!

Sounds like you had good time. It's awesome your wife enjoys riding.
She’s actually the one that got me into the sport.
Pretty awesome looking scenery, and pretty nice gravel roads. Love those bridges, we have nothing quite like those up here.
Pretty cool area only about an hour’s drive away.
Ashtabula FTW! 🤘🏼🤘🏼 south river road is a favorite!
Great area to ride! Just needs more hills. 😉
@@TheLankyCyclist I'll give you that! I do wish it rolled a little more. even if it went a little left and right.
I'll have to take cassie and do this route. She loves both those wineries. What bike is your wife riding?
She’s on a Cannondale CAADX. Picked it up on close out a number of years ago. She likes it.
I haven't done research yet but is it possible to ride to all the bridges in the county? I just did 134 miles and all 31 covered bridges in Parke Co Indiana, and earlier this year, rode 70 miles to all 9 covered bridges in Putnam County, Indiana.
@@Dadstrails not sure but probably. I think there’s 17 that are still operational. I know there are some driving routes that cover about 70 miles and hit maybe a dozen. It’s a great idea.
Drinking wine during a ride would just make me loose all motivation.
Probably why we only made one stop😂
