I absolutely adored the fact that Ranbir tried to interract a bit with the audience before they asked their question. Asking them their names, what they're aspiring to do - the simple act showed so much depth of character and humility in him. These are very admirable qualities in a celebrity of his standing.

Exactly what stood out to me as well. Otherwise actors typically behave as if they are doing a favor by answering audience questions.
No bro, he has many exciting films in the coming years. You can see it on his wikipedia page and him speaking about them in an interview with Rajeev Masand.
By doing this we can see his mental level. Whome he is talking with. After that he gives the answer.
Bro. They practice humility for interviews. He's a good actor but obviously no one will behave arrogant in a space like this. Pick any interview of any current actor. All gandhians. Still more likable than Ranveer though, his pretentiousness is next level shit.

Tamasha was a piece of real magic on the screen, tremendous substance , actually it was very difficult in humble views to nail that part to perfection however, Ranbir just did that and rightly so.

This guy knows his work. And he is deeply madly in love with his work. You can see his seriousness when it comes to acting. He is obsessed with art. And that's how a true artist is born. He isn't here for money coz he has tons of it. He is here for his love for art and acting. Really hope this film gives him the fame he deserves as an actor not as son of a superstar or playboy ... But as a true obsessed actor.
That “Hi Sid” at 1:54...small detail but shows he has that thing to connect instantly...I see same habit of greet with name as an attempt of quick connection in SRK as well. It’s very small but equally important thing when you interact with people and especially fans.
This humble man says what he did with sanju cannot be compared with Daniel Day Lewis but the whole world knows he was phenomenal in Sanju and indeed can be compared to the likes of Lewis, Brando etc. While on the other hand, Ranveer Singh Bhavnani so casually compared himself to Daniel Day Lewis that I hit the floor so hard that day. What a gem this man is. ❤

His answers are so thoughtful and articulate. Time just goes by when you hear him. Even 1 hour doesn't feel like it.

I watched Tamasha in theatre. At first my reaction was like everyone else," what the heck? Why is this so boring?".Most of us didn't go to theatre expecting to be schooled about philosophy of life and a journey of self-discovery.Usually people expect a Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani or Bachna Aye Haseeno from Ranbir and Deepika and not such a deep thoughtful cinema. It actually made sense to me when I went back home and watched it again later.The essence of the movie is not understood by many.People wanted to be "entertained" and not introspect their lives.I love the movie Tamasha.Ranbir should be proud of Tamasha.
I slept in the theater. After a year I saw the film and I was like wtf I was thinking. That film is amazing.
I think the only problem with the movie was its trailer...we all thought it's gonna be a rom com, which wasn't the case.

The line goes like,

The writer (Arjun Rampal) projects himself with all his ebbs and flows into the character (Ranbir Kapoor) he creates. The writer is an egoistic guy. Not vulnerable to life and very defensive when it comes to love and self-acceptance. This obscures him from providing a satisfactory closure to his work. The female lead helps him to understand this idea of being vulnerable to truly create meaningful art.
This is what I understood from Roy.
And yup, I actually appreciated it.

aravind kumar it takes a lot more than mere Bollywood flicks to win a national award and the award winners like Mohanlal and Kamal Hasan or even a Konkona Sen are better actors. Ranbir is a good actor, no doubt, but still got miles to go to reach the other people's calibre. Bollywood is not the be all and end all of Indian cinema. If you're limited by it, then that means you've not been exposed to better movies which explains your reasoning

some actors akshay Kumar and even saif Ali Khan and have some national awards what will you say for this they gave national award for airlift and some other movies which represent country and they are not giving national award for best actor iam talking about most cases they are giving awards for best actors who are representing the country and obviously it's a wrong way to give a award so how can you tell madam according to national award iam talking about most cases rockstar,barfi ,tamasha, at least they must be considered but they only see if it has a moral that bothers country it is a award given for actors right not for social workers in acting profession so iam talking about this issue in above comment

1- May be the only actor who has guts to sacrastically take on his flops.
2- the way he interacts like asking name and what they do.
3- it's so good to listen to him. When u r bored of other stars bcoz of their thousand of Instagram posts. It's refreshing to heard from a man who distanced himself from social media.
4- And may be the best individual to interact with these young chaps, from whom they can take away something.

I just watched Sanju and I absolutely agree with Ranbir about Sanju at the start I was excited but the moment he started telling his story on screen I completely forget that it was about Sanjay Dutt and started treating as a character for a movie and at the end it was like oh shit this was about Sanjay Dutt and I think it was because of Ranbir's acting and amazing performance, hard and super dedication that made it entertaining, inspiring crazy story so much believable and it's just a must watch Movie
