  • Woody Herman in Oct1986 (on the SS Norway Jazz Cruise) discussed the importance of John Fedchock in his band:
    “John Fedchock has been with me now for over 6 years, and he has come from being a really competent arranger & writer to being a really fantastic writer & arranger. I can depend on him for almost anything I can imagine. And when I'm all through imagining whatever I have to imagine, he will be the fixer - he will fix it.”
