    When "avoiding detection" you actually did a little more than needed, it would have been enough to just turn off the camera feed and then head to the elevator. But we also have a brief example of usefulness here, the alarm obviously triggered them to where it went off which, here, was just outside in the hallway. That is why they went to your location.
    The air purification, however, would have allowed you to sneak closer to them and collect a few items that are up there. It would also have allowed you to safely avoid that mess in the end, though it would require you to time robotic movements aswell. If it looks in your direction there is always a chance that your movements will be seen. The smoke has a limited duration and I have no idea how long it lasts unfortunately.
    The noisemaker? Yep, distraction. You can't kill people with it.
    Crafting is easy, hold Q to enter the menu - click on item to craft said item, input reagents and craft. If you are lacking reagents then it will turn red whereas white means that you have the reagents. To equip item you open the menu and only cursor over the item then release Q. The maintenance jack is default weapon with left click so Amanda will strike with the wrench if flares, medkits and such things are equipped.
    I hope that covers it. If I forgot anything then I apologize.
    The motiontracker reacts through walls yes but if the object is standing still you won't see it, that's why the robots never were constantly tracked. In lockers you can use movekeys to lean right, left and even backwards where the tracker can be seen fully.
    And yes, you should use the map more. There's also a white bar at the edge of the tracker that always points to your objective, but it does so in a straight line and does not care about different levels and similar so use it together with the map to navigate.
    You can kill robots with the revolver but depending on range, where you aim, if you hit etc the amount of bullets will be varied.
    I apologize for the long reading and I hope it makes sense, I may have forgotten a few details here and there but I hope that is not the case. It was a while since I played this.

      girltriesgames The confusing UI is definitely deliberate. It puts you under more stress and keeps you on edge. Another tip is that if you try to pick something up and can't because you're "full" of that item, you need to check if you can craft more things or partially craft something to free up slots so you can then pick that item up. Don't waste pickups if you can help it.
      I love that you're determined to play through this. I feel (slightly) guilty for putting you through it :-)
      As for re-wires, I really only used it to disable motion sensors and open doors which helps you progress. But using the re-wire to cause distractions/put lights out or whatever didn't really seem to help me so I stopped doing it.

      Is there a way to know if motion sensors are on without checking the rewire console thingy? Is that what that camera was with the grid thing coming out of it?

      girltriesgames That's right, those cameras with a grid projection coming out of them. Rewire boxes (and sometimes terminals?) allow you to turn these off usually.

    The terminal log entries are generally background story to give you a sense of what's going on and why. Some things are critical, but they're pretty obvious like pass codes or turning systems on/off.
    And while you're in a locker/cupboard you can use WASD to move around in the locker. And it can be very important to do so!

    41:00 sorry but it is painful to see you miss every opportunity to solve the game. :( of course it's enough fog, that function was a not-very-subtle-at-all hint for you .
    and the floor access while you were searching for robots ? missed twice. use your brain instead of repeating "oh it's so scary !!!" you could have solved the lower room in less than 2 minutes.

    Finally, don't forget Shift to run. Sometimes you have to, like to avoid the elevator assault! Which was hilarious BTW.

    Something else to bear in mind about the motion tracker - that beep it makes when you hold it up is audible to others when they're close to you... just saying. No more spoilers...

      girltriesgames There appears to be a range to sounds you make, and on easy I'm pretty sure that range shortens to almost nothing.

    @36:10 when you ran out of bullets in the revolver, you actually had 14 left and needed to reload (hold R until completely reloaded). Shoot close range in the head. On easy it should take 2 or 3 shots to the face I think?

      girltriesgames @36:10 you can see bottom left it shows "0 14 REVOLVER" The 1st number was what's in the chamber, and 2nd is 14 left.
