Hibs are my Scottish team mate but I have respect for hearts. A great old instituiton with players like Alfie Conn, Willlie bauld, Dave mackay and the underrated Alex Young all among the best seen in Scotland. Its a shame to see the state of the club due to mismanagement. I think we probably both agree that football is for fun. Depite all the talk to the contrary its not a matter of life and death. The gap is not that big mate. Sociual media is a great way to measure club size. On facebook Hearts lead 20,768 to 18,707. On Twitter its 17,080 to 15,209. Basically for every 9 Hibs fans on social media there are 10 Hearts. Not a huge gap at all though Hearts are marginally the bigger club.
It is perfectly possible for Hibs to become more successful. It all depends on the ownership and debt situations at both clubs. Chelsea have more fans thatn Liverpool....who'd have thought that 10 years ago. In modern football anything is possible. Its all about money and ownership. Sad but true.
