doesnt get any more reliable than a Honda XR. love those bikes. ive owned a few through the years. only own motocross bikes atm though. CR125 and CRF450. love honda
I bought 1 of these XR400R4 on an 55 Plate [UK] 1 of the LAST, I got is because i was very sick and needed SOMETHING to get me out the House. It was MINT Condition 1 Owner before me. I stupidly Part-Exed it in for an 2016 [Brand new at time] Yam WR250F which i hated. I should NEVER have parted with that beautiful Bike.
Was that bike in hibernation for years or did you re-build it? BRAAAAAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's hard to find that perfect condition but now you only can find JDM xr400 which is a Japanese version of xr400 and it is factory street-legal supermoto
My 2 cents on a bike for you .... Depends on how tall you are , how much you weigh .... I'm 6 ft. And I fit good on my XR 400 . I weigh 180 lbs. The power you could handle easy ... You can lower bikes too . I also have a XR 250 . Maybe a 250 is better for ya if your a smaller guy . Both are Great bikes !! I hope you find one .... Good luck and have fun !!
Do i need to turn idle adjustments to higher always when i start it cold ? After first start when it gets hot i turn it lower and it start normaly every time. After two days as example i need to turn the idle up again to start it cold as soon as it got hot i dont need it anymore. The bike has 20.000km on watch. Cheers!! If Honda brought back XL and XR bikes they would sell out soon as they were available, I would buy a few guaranteed.

I think not. They are a pain in the ass to start. Would definitely be a much better bike with electric start.
