- Sometimes God doesn't answer our prayers exactly when or how we think He should. Tragedy happens to all people, even those who love Jesus. As we study the story of Lazarus, we learn that God's delays are not His denials, and He does things on His own perfect timetable.

After reading about Martha and Mary's approach to their brother's death, I think that I will act a cross between Martha and Mary.
I am praying for total humility before God and to be like Mary, who was always humbled and acted right before Jesus. I know that His Spirit will keep moving His children to the place of total humility before Him.

The prosperity teaching & the name it claim it - not only has promoted man and his exterior life - along with their revelations that is a bit out there -
Making the TRUE walk with Christ Jesus look pretty dull - no wonder their churches are so big - quantity is stressed not quality -
It's what He does for us not who He Is becomes their purpose - but the door spoken in chapter 10 the new believers salvation that they may enter eternal life - going in and out (not up and down) - we see in Revelation 3 that He stands at the door of the church knocking - to enter the corporate body - - "If any man hear MY VOICE - I will come in to him and will sup with him and he with me" ............. he that hath an ear - let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. From the singular to the corporate

Please reread. The Bible says I would RATHER be absent from the body and to be present with God. If we are all in heaven after we die who will be in the 1st and 2nd resurrection?

How about Samuel who was summoned by a spiritist upon the request of King Saul? Was that just Samuel spirit that came down from heaven?
Yes, that’s what the Bible says, he gave a prophecy and the prophecy came to pass.
This verse screams to me that jesus was not part of a trinity or "God". Martha says he was the son of God the christ. If Jesus was a trinity or God why didn't he correct her?
Trinitarians teach that the one God is three persons: 1.) the Father, God, Yahweh; 2.) the Son, the Word, Yahweh; 3.) the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, Yahweh.
There is a misunderstanding that because the Father is often referred to as “God” in the Scripture that that dignity excludes the Son and the Spirit. Well by the same logic you are using, Jesus being the “son of man” would exclude him from also being man.
Trinitarians have no trouble with this verse. But those who deny his deity might have trouble explaining why Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. These claims do not belong in the mouth of a mere prophet.
Trace where the New Testament authors cite the Old Testament back to the original book, and you will find that they teach Jesus is the LORD (Yahweh).
