Grazie a te!
Aloha ! Loved the small window view /sacred altar with Mary Magdalene. Imagined at night walking by with the lit space eminating out to remind one that all is well. Thank you.
I ended up there because I could not find a place in Amalfi. That was a blessing in disguise. Minori is charming whereas Amalfi is jammed with tourists.
Lochdochart agree, It's a more "real' destination there , a bit away from the usual tourist "paths". Usually I try to show the unusual towns of Italy here (with some famous too here and there) - there are often hidden gems where one doesn't expect. Liked Minori very very much I must say...first time for me too it was
Devo farti i miei complimenti.
Thank You Mihaliz! Indeed, the town of the Costiera Amalfitana have so many of those small icons and vocative statues all around, even in almost-hidden places. Pretty peculiar and quite beautiful. Thanks for watching!
Where did you begin your walking tour from? When I was in Minori I never saw all those hidden walkways and steps. It was all very flat and most action concentrated in the main square near the water. Of course, this was last year, not Pandemic. How to get to the winding alleyways? Thanks!
Ciao Ruth, nice to see you back) Ahhh.... I remember I climbed and climbed to the top by some very small alleys and it wasn't really easy under the sun. I wanted to show the town from above)
Where in Minori was the starting point of your path through the back roads of Minori.. I said, it always looked flat to me. I never saw opportunities to explore the inner town.@@StillWanderer
Back walls not well maintained, in serious need of repair...some serious wiring issues that need to be corrected...obviously not doing as well as its neighbors on the Amalfi coastline...no, I do not find this to be 'charming'...it is disturbing...why some towns are well maintained and others are left to the weather?...it is like having poor relations...they are in serious need of a capital infusion and upkeep...Jesus understands what it means to be poor...the tourist areas here have no tourists...the Basilica is as beautiful on the outside as the one in Amalfi...why is this town so quiet when its neighbors are bustling? a mystery...dts/usa
I feel you Dana, though... I enjoyed Minori very much actually! (Maiori much less so...). Sure... it could be much well and batter mantained, butr I tried to show the other towns of the Amalfi Coast, which, deservedly or not, are quite different from one another. Probably the one I liked more was Cetara, apart of course from the famous ones
