Nice to see you back! A person could easily extend the time by adding handfuls of pine pellets, small twigs etc to get maybe 30 minutes more from the torch especially in a survival situation if you kept the extra fuel in your pockets. You could just add it as you walked along

That's very interesting! I was thinking that if you were doing this in summer, if you could find some clay to dress the wood with, it'd pretect it from burning and last even longer, allowing you to refill.
