Gotta say this is a really clean trace repair! I really like the attention to detail and care. Color it green like the rest and I'd say you'd never notice it was repaired unless you knew it was
Tip: If the piece is really small, don't cut your jumper ("replacement trace") off from its source (roll, longer piece etc), before you solder. Cut it _after_ soldering both joints. This will afford you a little more time to get the 2nd joing nice and well, before the tiny wire/jumper gets so hot that the 1st joints melt again. If you try to solder more than one joint on a very tiny piece, there's almost non thermal mass in it, so it will get hot enough for the solder in the other joint(s) to melt and move, almost instantly when you touch the wire with the iron. Navigating a pre-cut microjumper can be very tricky too, so if you hold off on cutting it off until you're done soldering the joints, it had a bit of a counterweight effect to it, making it a bit easier to navigate the business end, absorbing some of the minor tremors of the hand. Also make sure the side of your palm (and ideally all the way out including your elbows) rests on the work surface if at all possible, only navigate the iron, solder, wire etc with the fingers and fingertips. This decouples much of the small tremors in your hands and fingers, coming from the tensions in the larger muscles in you arms and shoulders.
I keep a little bottle of clear nail varnish. Very handy for sealing screws etc in place. Would probably also work for sealing this as it is strong, water-proof, no fuss and dries in 10 minutes. It also works as a glue for repairing small cracks in plastic.
While that can work, you need to be careful. Some varnishes aren't intended for circuits, which can cause then to react to the metal conductor or maybe even be partially conductive themselves (leading to impedance changes/reflections).
Maby anyone can help me to understand a word in the Video 0:58. Remove the damage --> "Porschen?" of the Circuit trace. I can't find that word anywhere in a dictionary. I've heard that word so many times, but I don't know how to write it or what it means. Porschen?
I think I'd be inclined to solder the new etch before cutting it, just to make it easier to align. I'll soon find out if my inclination is any good. But there were plenty of good tips here; thanks for posting.

Not sure about this particular case, but you can get broken traces when you overexpose or overetch a PCB. When making prototypes, you might decide to rather patch the one or the other broken traces on a bad PCB instead of going through the whole process of making a new PCB.
typically a short circuit that burns the trace away, in which case, a few more component will be damaged along the way. This video is outdated, most circuit boards cost less to replace than to repair.
I don't know about them, but i just use copper foil tape and cut to size. If i can't get ahold of copper tape i just use single strand 24 to 30 awg pre-tinned wire with a kynar, silicone, or teflon sleeve. I use superglue, nitro nail polish, or liquid electrical tape to cover the exposed sections after soldering and haven't had any issues.

@@vitor900000 There are multiple tricks to do this. For traces under 0.006 inch / .15mm, I recommended using pre-tinned wire. For short runs, the wire can be flattened. Also, for the epoxy touch-up I suggest Taiyo UV cure solder mask. Taiyo sells small quantities for repairs.

You wouldn't buy the copper. If anything you would get it from spare wire you have laying around your home i.e. speaker wire, or cat5 cable. You may be able to use Kynar wire if they have a small enough size but I believe they use silver as opposed to copper which is more conductive.

I remember the good old days when you could still repair a PCB board by hand. Anyone else remember being able to count the connections on a PCB? Member when PCB was cancer causing? Ah, the good ol' days.
Nice way to turn a 1 minute job into a half hour job. Could have just bridged the two trace ends with a piece of throughhole component lead (plenty of these laying around a repair shop), covered it in conformal coating and called it a day.
I'd normally use a wire as you suggest. But there are cases in which the repair needs a low profile, and this method might be just the thing for some of them. I've got to replace an etch that's a also switch contact and some of the repair obviously has to be foil, so I'll have to resort to something like this.
jsc a genuine question here, no trolling. What difference is there between the two methods? Would the throughole wire repair alter the circuits resistance beyond the designers tolerance/specs? Thanks for reading.
some tinned copper wire scabbed in and then brushed with conformal coat is fine unless board is subject to loads of movement. that repair took far too long and quit saying soder, it's solder.
