Thank you💚. I'm glad I could fit the sculpting station in there, hopefully Billy'll start some new creations that I can add to his collection for the save file ^^
It looks so great, I love the messy studio! And that pit, a GENIUS idea! I think your ideas for making it more modern are excellent, although it looks so pretty right now (I'm definitly an old-style girly). Billy Caspian's backstory for me is "that sim who is always at every lot my sim goes too and boos her everytime", he's a stalker x)
Thank you 💚 ! Well I started with good intentions: do an century -old barn then turn it into a modern house but naaah... Brain didn't waanna do that ^^ So definitely an old-style girly too 🤭 Aw your poor sim! 🤔 Maybe Billy is actually an avant-garde fashion designer in hiding (and also rude much!)
Honestly, I think the wooden version looks just fine as a modern take - people are rediscovering wood for the eco look and a lot of architects use it for modern builds. Plus, the big windows already do a lot of the heavy lifting. Maybe the roof colour, yes, but everything else was perfectly convincing! It's a stunning take overall, and I'm just absolutely in love with the kitchen layout. Plus, turning the conventional living room into a studio space is genius - loner or not, he's living out in the country side, chances are he won't need the generic couch for anyone any time soon. But then the backyard? I don't even have words, that is the coolest idea since forever! It matches his bio, it looks perfectly natural, and it makes sense considering the country side setting, because of course his lot is big enough for that and what neighbour would care? Overall, it's a stunning take with so much more storytelling. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing work and have a lovely start into the Christmas season!
I would love to keep some wood covering, but though I agree changing the roof would already make it quite more modern I think the siding I picked is a bit too telling if I go with the description (or am I over-analysing the 'actually' part 😅). So I was thinking maybe some other panelling walls 🤔 ? I'll have a look through the catalogue and if I don't find any that might fit, I'll go with just changing the roof I guess (I'm totally over-analysing 😆) . I loved his kitchen too ! It was already well designed I just added and eating area...and some more mess ^^ He has sooo much space for a loner, living alone far from everything ! That was a challenging one but oh so much fun to do. Though I'm not sure of the result it made me want to play with him and get to know him better 😀 Thank you 💚Wishing you the best for the Holiday Season (we got some deep snow for a day here, about a week ago, so it definitely was a very nice start ^^ )
Yes, that's a good point.. then again, just panelling could look Scandinavian instead of just modern - it's a tricky one 😅 have you thought about solving it via colour changes? Either a Pinterest white with dark wood or maybe an orangy wood with greyish (maybe even metal) beams? Too much colour would not fit his personality, sure, but that could be a neat compromise between the countryside aesthetic with the modern take. Just an idea, really Ah, I'm jealous of your snow. We're still only getting frosty rain - all the downsides of the frozen roads with none of the nice scenery ❄️ hopefully in time for Christmas. Speaking of which, are you planning on adding any seasonal variations to community lots so that there's a Christmas market somewhere?
It looks so good. 😍
Your houses are always so detailed and spot on with the Sims.
Really really creative. I will have to use that backyard set up one day.
