I dont think I got enough information..... school days should end by noon and they should get teacher interaction; what about parents who work during the day? Will the teachers be on in the evening also?

I'm hoping CFBisd can make things go a little smoother this year but I guess I'm not understanding why the kids are not having a full day of interacting with their teachers just as if they were in the classroom which I'm sure a lot of kids will not be in the building. So it forces parents to make the decision to just send them to school. Also, I fortunately work from home but I know this plan does not cover each and every situation. And some of these kids are going to suffer with not enough support.

What about laptops will every student be receiving one? I currently was given one for 3 children at the end of last year and with over lapping classes I dont understand how you expect them all to be online at the same time

I agree with everyone. How do you expect this to work with the parents who actually go into work or have other situations where a set schedule like this isn’t beneficial?

I am very disappointed there was no parental consultation at the end of last year to check what worked and what did not. I found the experience unprofessional and frustrating to no limits, even being at home and helping my child. If you want to implement remote, here is a suggestion for schools/teachers: give the students old-fashioned paper textbooks, give a list of things to learn and then make appointments with them by video or phone to find out what they have learned. Or team up with private online schools who have great expertise with this style of learning. (I am speaking from experience. My two other children in private on-line schools).
There is also this sentiment going around that all kids will be pushed into remote past three weeks. Well, if this is to happen, I will have a serious family consultation on taking our kid out altogether and home-schooling him. Will be way easier, and no demands on my time from schools. If teachers don't want to teach my child, neither do I want to support them.

Unfortunately teachers and schools do not make any of these decisions it is the superintendents.

You mentioned that students will be logging in everyday. What will they be logging into? Will there be more clarification?
