I felt like this conference had some of the most powerful talks ever given
Hi Jared, my daughters and I attended the BYU WOMEN’S Conference this past weekend & the wonderful speakers mentioned many of President Nelson’s messages ( let God prevail, take your vitamins, etc.), & at the Taylorsville Temple Open House, there were beautiful paintings of the 2nd Coming! It’s all adding up to how we need to be a better, more prepared, Zion people!♥️🎶🌺🇺🇸
Just did a tour of the Taylorsville temple. Lots of art depicting the second coming. The largest art in the building besides the baptismal was the second coming art. I recommend getting out to see it if you can.

The scriptures say the sons of Levi MUST give an offering in righteousness before the Messiah comes. Joseph Smith said there WILL be a short period of animal sacrifices.

The sons of Levi are getting ready to make the blood sacrifice. The red heifers are part of that prophecy.
When Elder Holland visited our Stake some years ago he told us Saturday night that the millennium began with the starting of the church. (He gave the year.) And at that time we were at the end of the beginning of the millennium, and expect changes!!! There have been many!!!! And more are probably coming!

The earth sure hasn't been allowed to rest. Quite the opposite. I thought the earth resting was a big part of the millenium. I obviously would defer to Elder Holland in all matters.
Perhaps you misunderstood and he said the seventh seal was opened then or something. Satan certainly is not bound.
The millennium has certainly not begun. If you question this, read your scriptures. During the millennium, Satan will be bound, the earth will rest, and Christ will reign. It will be a time of learning and the while world will recognize Jesus is the Christ. The scriptures teach that Christ will return in power and great glory, and every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is the Christ.
I love Elder (now President) Holland. It is important to remember that these are men and are fallible, as well as the possibility of misunderstanding what they say. We are to Follow the Savior and head the promptings of the Holy Ghost in all things! We are not to be blind followers or unthinking believers. The Lord has made this pattern clear throughout all of the scriptures.
President Nelson is frequently quoted about the need to have the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost in the coming days, which is so much more true than the majority of the Church understands. We need to receive personal revelation, a testimony of Jesus Christ that is firm and unshakable, and strive to understand how best to fulfill our purpose and design here on earth. This means to take our testimony and faith into our own hands and more diligently study the scriptures, more fervently pray, and more faithfully believe that God will reveal His will and His doctrine and His purposes (for us) to us as we seek His will and glorify Him.

we are in a sanctification period right now. Our hearts are to be sanctified. Who better to understand that than a heart surgeon… and then there will be a judgement… and who better to understand that then a Supreme Court judge.
What a great verse! Thanks for highlighting this one. I like that it emphasizes that sanctification and preparation are to take place at the beginning of the seventh thousand years. I knew this was the case, but I love how this verse says it very succinctly.

Wouldn’t it make sense that a solar eclipse would pass over those sacred sites? I doubt God randomly selected where Kirtland Temple would be, or the garden of Eden or far west. Maybe those areas had significance due to their Geo/astronomical locations which is why a solar eclipse would pass over them in the first place.
We have been studying D&C 109 since conference and something that really stood out to me was verse 75 and when the Trump sounds for the dead…we will be raised up to the cloud to meet Christ…just wondering what everyone’s tonight’s are about when the Trump calls for the dead. Seems like something to understand and watch for. What are everyone’s thoughts?
Moroni's trump, the Temple? There was such an urgent focus on temples and keeping our covenants at General Conference. The temples being our answer for safety from the troubles of this world. Interesting.❤
What else would gather people to join the church? If only those who have made temple covenants are raised by the trump, then we will see millions wanting to join.

Not sure I would agree with the assessment that the red heifer would need to be sacrificed by a Jewish Latter-day Saint. I can see the argument for that but I think that puts some blinders on regarding some of the deep promises and responsibilities given to the Tribe of Levi. Not saying you wouldn't be correct, but I am not sure I would be ready to land on your definitive "no, they don't have the priesthood."

I am guessing that this sacrifice of the red heifer is that offering. If that is the case will the Aaronic Priesthood then be taken from the earth when Christ gathers all things in one?

I’m talking about the red heifer. It dawned on me that the other pictures were seen in price or now him closed in red. Coincidence or a film made of prophecy. I love the Lord and look forward to when He returns.

I am wondering about how Israel is being protected. The two Prophets that are to protect Israel, could very well be in place. The scriptures say they will be brought up in Israel. So who knows.

I thought we would be in the first resusrection and that would be when Jesus comes back and we meet him in the clouds. The mortal people who are in the millennium will have to wait until later or until they have lived to be a hundred.

I find it curious that the Savior and others appeared in the Kirtland temple on the second Passover the first time. (According to my information). The second Passover this year is in a couple of weeks.
Rabbi Burkowitz was on another chanel where he announced that they could probably get the Heifers ready in a couple of hours. He said they are just waiting for the Lord to tell them WHEN to proceed. Interesting.

The Jews have only the Levitical Priesthood.
We are still in the sixth thousands years, which ends in spring of 2033. At that point, the seventh thousand years begins. The Second Coming of Jesus Christ occurs in the beginning of the seventh thousand years, _not_ at the end of the sixth thousand years.
Each thousand years is counted from the Fall of Adam, the mid-point being the resurrection of Christ, per Alma the younger of the Book of Mormon (in Alma chapter 40). The resurrection of Jesus happened in AD 33. There were 4000 years between the Fall and the resurrection of Jesus and from His resurrection to now 1991 years have passed. So there are 9 years left of the sixth thousand years.
The first sign of the end times is the appearance of the end-time restoring Elias (see Matt. 17:10-11) who prepares the way of the Lord by restoring all things. He still hasn't shown up, therefore all the other end-time signs and prophecies must and will remain unfulfilled until he appears. Any "sign" you think you see happening is merely a prophetic shadow, _not_ the literal fulfillment of the scriptural prophecies.
The age of a tree is 72 years not 100
Do you have a church source for that? Because trees can live thousands of years.
