Yeah, it always seems like not much when you just need single frame. But in more complicated scenes difference might be bigger and of course - if you need to render many frames this makes massive difference. If you render 1 minute animation, 24 fps saving 3 seconds on single frame will in the end save you 72 MINUTES on just ONE MINUTE of animation. 15 minutes of that animation and you will save 18 hours :) That is a massive difference. Much appreciated speed boost.
are you able to make animations using nCloth or using dynamics with maya 2025? i can't. maya only renders the first frame for the whole sequence. im using arnold. Any advice? i called autodesk and they haven't figured it out either. :( so frustrating.
I'm curious to see if Maya runs well on Ryzen CPUs. Is the rendering speed better than Intel? I've heard a lot that Ryzen has a lot of compatibility issues.
I have noticed that if you batch render with the GPU the speed of renders is really fast but after a couple of frames starts to slow down... do you know why this happens? I am having 10 seconds of render time at the beginning but then later, after 20 frames I go up to 1 minute. Thoughts?
I am not familiar with the topic bc I use Nvidia. But I did find this www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Maya-is-not-using-AMD-Graphics-Card.html But, that is probably not proper support

One thing that bothers me of Arnold GPU is, you can't create AOVs, only with CPU??
Well that’s a bummer 😔

If I install the newest version of Arnold in Maya 2024 will I see the same speed improvements as in Maya 2025? Btw great video!
That’s a great question… 🤔 I might have to try that
@@JustMayaStuff that test would be appreciated! 😅
Cause that's what I did uptaded Arnold mtoa to the latest version and I feel it quicker

Hmm, that’s a huge difference. Unfortunately I do not do much batch renders
yeah I've experienced this as well. Had to render my project in bursts.
I think it's a memory issue with Arnold
still no proper support for AMD GPUs right?
