I still don't understand how he does the x
Hes able to tap so lightly and still make a sound and tapping while hitting a bottom note
It's a string slap, just hit the string with the left side of your thumb. To understand it better, I suggest you to take a look to this video from Josephine Alexandra, another fingerstyle player that actually explains to make these techniques.

@@jaiderrodriguez7474 sorry I miscommunicated. I understand it. It’s just so difficult to do as I’ve tried many times.
Like I can do it by itself. But most often you play it while playing another note at the same time, that’s super hard. Most often the note I play comes out too strong because it’s hard to focus on 2 different things at once.
Currently I’ve been practicing the x when it’s alone. Trying to play the note before and as fast as I can, tap the x then play the next note as quickly as I can.
@@lettuce1626 I see, and as I said on my comment the exact same thing happened to me, just try to practice really slow doing both things and then u start putting more speed till the point u do it even without noticing it, another way to master it, is creating rhythms with spaces between each strum and slapping the string when u have the opportunity, it's hard at the beginning just as the wrest thump or the artificial harmonics, u will nail it with enough practice!
@@jaiderrodriguez7474 thanks! I’m practicing every weekday. I normally ignore the x in songs because it adds a layer of difficulty. I’ve chosen a song I’m already pretty good at, and trying to add the x into it.

So how do you get to the point where you can make tabs? Is it starting from chords or learning by ear?
