I like it, though the idea of been able to transfer them and them costing money feels excessively complicated and the chip would be better without. I get it's to balance picking a theoretical 10th place Chelsea over an 11th place West ham, but it doesn't need to be that balanced due to doubles and the complexities they fetch in with other chip options.
I feel like it's prime punting opportunity with Man Utd and the new chip. A team who has been performing well below expectation but with a new manager who they should continue to improve under throughout the season. The bonus from beating teams higher than them is a big opportunity I'd be interested in.
The new chip I feel like you play it 2 ways. Either safe and pick a top team with a good run of fixtures. Or you play a bit risky and bet on a couple upsets. Even if you get 2 out of 3 on the upsets you’ll likely out score the safe route.
2/3 GWS I was at my highest rank ever. 3/3 I was throughly reminded of what FPL is 😢🙂↕️😑😑😑😑 I’m excited for the assistant manager chip BUT they should have given us an extra mill for it.
An assistant manager all season would be an interesting addition, maybe spread the budget abit more between managers and adjust/reduce the point system. Maybe they using it as a chip to test the idea before implementing it for a full season
Not sure about the assistant manager concept... I think I will follow what the experts are doing and also save some transfers in the bank. It hurt my head when I started strategising 😮
On the screen, you should write "If opponent is ranked 5 places higher then 10 ADDITIONAL pts for a win and 5 ADDITIONAL pts for a draw because it makes it seem as if you earn 2 additional for a draw and 4 additional for a win.
1 free transfer (but you have to pay for it out of your budget) to get the manager. Then you have to spend money and transfers to swap. Manager prices will not change.
It's a minimum of 7 or 17 points for the win because you get 1 point for scoring a goal and to win you must score at least 1. Swapping managers might well be the way to go, if you get it right for 2 out of 3 game weeks you'll net 34 points which will likely outscore 99% of FPL managers. It is a gamble though. Going for a Liverpool or Arsenal will likely net you 20+ points so is it worth the gamble? If you do gamble, do it as early as possible because by the last 8 game weeks positions are pretty much set so its hard to find giant killers for the +10 bp.
I was thinking the opposite - by the end of the season mid table will be on the beach so wait until then and go for relegation strugglers who need points. Warming up to the chip idea either way
Very torn on captaincy this week. Salah has only failed to return in one game this season… the home loss to Forest. But Palmer against Brentford… Brain hurts.
Had a terrible GW with my Captain not playing and Saka as você instead of Palmer. Was 1st in my mini-league and dropped to 4th. 300k drop after 5 weeks of steady green arrows. 😢
Quick Q This week so far I’ve done Isak and Enzo for Boomo and Cunha Option 1 GW17 = Nouri to Robinson for a -4 GW18 = De ligt to Gabriel Then 0.0 ITB so It. means no palace assets - will be priced out of Robinson in 19 so got to in 17 for minus 4 Option 2 GW17 - Nothing GW18 - Nouri to Munoz GW19 - I can upgrade Semenyo OR Pedro 🤷♂️ GW20 - De Ligt to Robinson Means no Gabriel though
Not gonna lie Oscar, my gut is telling me to go Cunha (C) but I'm not sure I have the balls to stay on that. Salah EO too scary 💀 Keep up the ace content!
Using a free transfer to sell mbeumo down to enzo Fernandez and taking a minus 4 to change Sels to Allisson... have 1.5 million in the bank, might swap Hall/ Lewis for Timber next week
I know I'm not Oscar😅, but esr is very underwhelming, I've owned him previously and I've watched his games, he plays very deep at times and it looks like he plays with one leg the way he's running, he might get you the odd return but imo the likes of iwobi, enzo and mitoma are better
Can you play other chips whilst the assistant manager chip is activated? It's just because it last 3x as long as the other ones, so it would be a bit silly if you couldn't triple captain (for example) just because you have a manager in your team
Salah at home to Fulham without Anderson and Bassey must be the captaincy play surely. Palmer could get 75min and no penalties this time. Jackson will want to score after having a poor game at Spurs. Palmer is solid but Salah has higher xpts and has been involved in more than 60% of LIV goals for over a month of matches.
Salah seemingly has more open play threat than Palmer, but Fulham have been much tougher to beat than Brentford this season. Brentford on the road are pony. I'm still really torn tbh. Will probably be the week everyone debates between Palmer and Salah, then Saka outscores both 👀
This is my current team with 2.5m in the bank and 1 free transfer. Gk Raya, Ward Def Virgil, Gabriel, Ait nouri, Robinson, Faess Mid Salah, Palmer, Saka, Enzo, Rogers Fwd Jackson, Cunha, Pedro Option 1 ait nouri to trent Option 2 cunha to isak Option 3 roll the transfer Can somebody please advise me on what option I should take and have a great day all.
How much experts own Bruno Fernandes? It seems like very few, and I find myself tempted to change him for Enzo and trent. But I don’t really feel like I have a reason for it. Fernandes is doing good, it’s not like he needs to go, but I get afraid of owning him alone when the only thing I see is 4 people sell him, and he’s not on the ownership place. I got 4 free transfers with pretty equal team to the template, I’m missing Raya and cunha due to bad team value, people got so insane much money, while I’m poor boy.. If I sell fernandes, Andersen, Verbruggen I’m 0.1m Short of getting Enzo, Raya, trent Feels like I might just stick to fernandes and suck it up that I’m not transferring aggressive to accumulate team value..
Raya Gvardiol ,saliba, gomez Saka, salah(c),palmer, semenyo Jackson, cunha, pedro Bench: fabianski, colwill, rogers and oshea. 1 free transfer What should i change? I have 0.1 million
I got a (wild) idea. First lets start by saying this; from gw 24-38 (15gws) 7 of them will be covered by chips if you still have all the chips left, 6 without TC obviously. Chips can't overlap, plus there is the 3 players/manager per club rule which can make this a bit tricky to navigate in double gameweeks, and especially if you still have a TC and/or BB left that you would probably like to play in a DGW. Why not try to play the Mystery chip last 3 gws of the season, or at least from gw 35-37. With the possible points gains that it brings with the "5 places below opponent" rule, you can try and make tons of places up by changing the managers last 3 gameweeks , picking those who have the opponents 5 places above them but are playing at home and are very close on paper. In that period its hard to play any other chip that includes players because of the possible rotations, but managers are always there. This can be a great tactic if you are not too satisfied with your rank around gameweek 34-35.
Don’t like the new chip at all. It changes the game even more to the data analysts than the football fans. It is also bad announcing this part way through the season when transfer money and team restrictions are involved. It’s moving the goalposts part way through. Having said that, it’s a good way to bag a shed load of extra points which I really need at the moment. So withholding final judgment for the time being 😉
I'm in the exact same boat. Brentford are terrible on the road, but Wissa literally scores in every home game. I could sell Cunha to Isak instead, but don't fancy selling Cunha before his next two fixtures 😕
@nickythehippy I went ahead with it, I think they outscored Brentford over the next 2 so it makes sense, it's just luck whether this will end Brentfords horrible away form. It's unlikely to happen now so going with the upside
@@WingedOcean yeah I'm very tempted to make the exact same moves tonight to avoid any more price changes. I can see the upside for sure; I'm more reluctant to flog Wissa than Mbuemo at this stage, and the yo-yo luck I've had whenever I've owned and not owned Isak so far this season has been crazy (too long to detail, but a lot of negative point swings). If he trolls me again I'm not sure I can take it 🤣
@@nickythehippy Yeah I feel you. The FTs will definitely come in handy but I think I'll take a hit if needs be. I'll be mad annoyed if Isak does nothing over the next 2 🤣. Luckily I think there won't be any price changes for them so it could actually wait until tomorrow, I probably should have done that just in case but I did already lose 0.3 not moving earlier..
@@WingedOcean yeah I was pissed when I saw that Enzo and Isak both went up at the start of the week, but unless budget is a real issue for me, I'm always reluctant to move too soon on transfers for obvious reasons (look at Trent buyers last week). I hate it to be honest.

Should I choose Glasner or Ruben Amorin?
Not really got an op on it
Could be fun
Honestly a very unexpected chip, will be exciting to see what works with this. Looks to be potentially a very swingy one
Thanks alot Oscar! Really always hardworking and providing lottsa info for ur folks!!

Dyche for the manager chip
My brain hurts.
Like this for the amount of places you'll go up this gameweek ❤
Investing at 2 likes for a whopping 2 rank green arrow 😎

You should targett the bonus with the new chip, they are cheaper and even a draw is more points than a top team winning
Is it free to transfer your manager to another?
no

It's a minimum of 8 because 1-0 would get you 2 points for the clean sheet. A 2-1 score gets the minimum 8.

As a chip, you shouldn't have to buy it. Do you get the money back at the end of the three weeks, or is it just lost?
You get it back after

What about selling Mbeumo and get Gordon instead? Gordon's fixtures are not bad. The form is not there but he can be a differential, can't he?
