Thanks for the Video, its a great summary. But I think you made a mistake: You say the valency of one antibody is 4, but each antibody (as the one you drew) has 2 paratopes and thus a valency of 2, right? "Each tip of the "Y" of an antibody contains a paratope (a structure analogous to a lock) that is specific for one particular epitope" Source: Wikipedia ("Antibody")
From somewher on the net: Antibody affinity is defined as strength of the binding interaction between antigen and antibody. It depends on the closeness of the stereochemical fit between antibody sites and antigen determinants, the size of the area of contact between them, and the distribution of charged and hydrophobic groups.
Thanq so much sir.. I reffered my material but i cant clarify in that.. But in just 15 mins you clarified it.. Means a lot sir ♥ . Tomorrow is my board exam.. Tanq♥
Hi Suman! This was really helpful! Thanks very much! P.S: Hope this doesn't upset you but sometimes you tend to hurry up with the explanations and it becomes a bit difficult to understand Thx again! :)
Why all of commenters only finding his mistake?? Mistakes can occur. Do you all forgot his explanations.... Everyone telling mistakes not this good lecture...😡😡
Very good explanation sir.. bt i hv a confusion between affinity & avidity .. could u plz explain it once again.. & sir plz upload some mathematical problems related to antigen-antibody complex actually i found vry hard to solve those questions..
14:40 antibodies binds form different directions ????? brother.... lattice is formed... LATTICE..... one antibody binds to two antigens and one antigen binds to two antibodies... then it agglutinates .. correct me if i am wrong....
Man, we r dealing with students where tiny mistakes may create issue, u better calm and let others do their work, even shomu accepted and we communicated about this. Be happy
Sir I am preparing for IIT JAM . I motivate myself to study everyday . I study and take breaks . Should I take a gap after my sixth semester ? please help me on this sir . I want to join IISER Kolkata after graduation .
Sir jodi kono antigen r akadhik epitop thake .....kintu prottek to epitopi nirdisto antibody r sathe add hoi !! Tahole ei ghotona ke ki amra specificity r modhhee bolte pari?????? Sir pls bolben...
Bz this videos are tooo old type, so advanced techniques areas not avilable in that time,so he weare this headset, its not a funny element okey🙏this is also help for this videos sound quality 🙏
Teacher plays your video in online classes sir. Respect.
Thank you. I am Honoured
Same in our University
Work hard really pays off.... You proved it. Respect 🙏🏻📚
Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts
Hats off to you sir... Thanks for clearing my concept of this topic in just 15 minutes. And it'll help me in my final exams.
Glad to hear that you're getting benefit from my lectures
I saw this video in 2017 during my mbbs study, and this concept help till now while neet pg preparation.
You're welcome
Hi. Valency for your antibody is 2 not 4. Besides, the affinity is not 4, affinity is the strength of binding of the antigen to its antibody.
Thank u so much... 😊 i prefer ur lectures than my college lectures... U r just awsm.. Thank u
Thank you for watching the lecture
shomu saving my grades like a pro
You're welcome
Ur lectures are superb b...... U build concept hats off to you. 👏
your efforts are helpful to me even after 7 years....
Thank you. Glad you liked my lectures

Stattaffe Fuchs ya you are right man
U r right

Somu sir valency is 2
But for IgM it is 6-7 that is due to steric hinderance
Very good method of explaining the topic with fully preparation.
+Ishvinder Singh you're welcome. Glad to hear that
Tysm sir your teaching skills are really awesome.😍😍☺
Thank you
I don't know how many time's i refer your videos during all exam ...😐finally am in 4th sem of MSc 😇
Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts
Thanq so much sir.. I reffered my material but i cant clarify in that.. But in just 15 mins you clarified it.. Means a lot sir ♥ . Tomorrow is my board exam.. Tanq♥
Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts
Perfectly explained 💜😊
Thank you
Plz make some of corrections about the valency u said is 4 instead of 2
Yeah it has to be 2
Thank you so much sir nice explaination
You're welcome
it helped me a lot for immunology paper.thank you. keep going.
Kass mere pass +2 main phn hota 😂😂😂 now am in pg and your every vdo always helped me more 🤩🤩
Thank you
This video was really helpful Sir.
You're welcome
Hi Suman! This was really helpful! Thanks very much!

Why all of commenters only finding his mistake?? Mistakes can occur. Do you all forgot his explanations.... Everyone telling mistakes not this good lecture...😡😡
It's mistake is dangerous
Really helpful . thanks
You're welcome
Very good explanation sir.. bt i hv a confusion between affinity & avidity .. could u plz explain it once again.. & sir plz upload some mathematical problems related to antigen-antibody complex actually i found vry hard to solve those questions..
Following him since 2015🥹
Thank you so much
It would be better if u make a short summary after a lecturing ❤
14:40 antibodies binds form different directions ????? brother.... lattice is formed... LATTICE..... one antibody binds to two antigens and one antigen binds to two antibodies... then it agglutinates .. correct me if i am wrong....
i came to learn from video...but comments taught me better
+Doorgesh Kafle great
mistake can be corrected but i like the way of explanation.
thank you so much sir
Sir valence of monomeric is 2 and divalent is 4 but you say 4 and 8 plz explain it 🙏
Great video, I love the line, "Don't try to forget this". HAHAHA sadly, i forget stuff without trying :(
Thank you so much for helping us to understand 😊
You're welcome
Very nice but at last I was feeling sleepy 😴
Wrong concept, is not 4 valancy, plz read thoroughly before uploading here, many people will get wrong by this.. plz dont put wrong data.
Thank you for pointing that out.
you need to relax lady, he has put up countless hours of flawless material that has helped thousands of people. a tiny mistake is not at all an issue
Man, we r dealing with students where tiny mistakes may create issue, u better calm and let others do their work, even shomu accepted and we communicated about this. Be happy
If its not 4 "valancy" what is it mam?
Then what is the answer...?
ur videos r helping us a lot.......
Sir I am preparing for IIT JAM .
I motivate myself to study everyday .
I study and take breaks .
Should I take a gap after my sixth semester ? please help me on this sir .
I want to join IISER Kolkata after graduation .
sir i want to know what is radio immunology. sir aapne immunology study karaya hai per kya aapki koi tutorial me radiology per bhi hai.
Sir jodi kono antigen r akadhik epitop thake .....kintu prottek to epitopi nirdisto antibody r sathe add hoi !! Tahole ei ghotona ke ki amra specificity r modhhee bolte pari?????? Sir pls bolben...
Different antigenic determinants bind with different antibodies
Thank you sir
You're welcome
Your teaching style is awesome and it is very helpful for me.Again thanks a lot for your learning videos
Is valency of all antibodies fixed or it varies with type of antibody?
The Keq you have shown in the video, is that the concentration of products and reactants at equilibrium when both Ag and Ab are in equal amount?
we all make mistakes, and must learn from mistakes, thats not a huge matter to criticize...
What is prozone phenomenon.......?
Ple ....Make a video about it.......
Valence means simply number of antigen binding site, one antibody in Monomeric form has valence 2 not 4,u mentioned 4 here which is wrong
For one antibody it's 2. If an antibody is present in pair, the valency becomes 4
good(bhalo bole6n). would be helpful if MHC is discussed!!
4:05 does the valency of monomer antibody is 2 or 4?
Sir plz aap Hindi videos bhi bnye na
Is Specific Resistance and Specificity the same?
Thank you
You're welcome
please correct your valency , it's 2 not 4 .
shomu you are explained serotyp ?
Thanks sir , but valency isn't 4 .
Its 2 check and repeat again
Explain floculation types sir...
great explanation =) thank you !
Sir plzz tell me the answer of avidity ....
Ag-Ab reaction are reversible or irreversible or both ?
Reversible
In cell serum testing why we put cell first den serum
thanks sir
You're welcome
Please explain about FY2 or Yz2
THAT IS MY PROFESSOR
thank u sir helped me alot....
Thanks
I am not understand the counting of valency...
Number of fab region is counted as valency
2 variable region is present.... So valency is 2?
Thanx a lot
You're welcome
upload a video about hematopoiesis....
Hello sir plz explain tumor immunology... its important sir.plzzz
Okay. Will make a video on that too
difficult to see ,,,but teaching nice
yes... no precipitation takes place here. what occurs here flocculation.
Thanks skr
Sir please clarify the sound.
How much clearance you require more, stfu
Super but I am Hindi student
Valency should be maximum of two
sir blood of human ag ya ab
thanks man
good
Sir apnar ki what's app number pawa jbe??????. ....... to solve problems....
Check my website
this is completely wrong concept... plz don't create misconception among students...
Why are you wearing a helmet tho ? 😂
Bz this videos are tooo old type, so advanced techniques areas not avilable in that time,so he weare this headset, its not a funny element okey🙏this is also help for this videos sound quality 🙏
Master g vdo check kr liya kro then upload...
Work on your graphics please
Check the upload date
it would have been better if you have mentioned the forces of interaction
