Not really. The problem is auto book mark + green regen. Nerf green regen and thisll be far less potent. Really they just need to rebalance the test cases.
Someone who plays more but isnt as good lol. The ranking referred to is either ingame, which i just raw wins regardless of opponent, or its ELO, which is a point system based on who you fight, suprisingly accurate, but goubo being 5th might just mean he has 1500 points while 1st has 1505 points, luck and playtime could do that.
Giovanna's passive defense boosts from her meter. She already had over 50, and the combo pushed her to 100%, whereupon she becomes like the toughest character in the game. Plus whatever her guts stat is would explain it.
You're probably going to be mind blown when I tell you this, but according to Gobou, Gio actually wins this match up - now Gobou said that it's not at all a severely disadvantaged MU for Asuka - but it's still Gio favored. Asuka is just a very strong character and Gobou is a very strong player; so of course that is a really dangerous combination. When using Zato-1, he tends to make Zato's bad MUs look Zato favored, so I'm not really surprised that he's doing the same thing with Asuka - especially when Asuka counterplay is still very underdeveloped...
It's Gobou, Gobou is the one guy who keeps mastering the harder characters to use to the point that he still dominates the worst matchups for his characters
Rank reset, also your rank is winning percentage and not how good you actually are. The game doesn't match people based on rank for the most part. So you can play people who suck and people who are tournament level in the Celestial realm.
The ratings have been reset recently, so these ratings you see in these videos will probably not be too reliable for a little while. We need to give them more time for he ratings to settle.
@@kikook222 This is not true. The rating system is ELO based, so it's not only about win rate, but also the relative skill level of the players you beat and lose to. For example, a player with a higher win rate could have a lower rating than another player because the other player plays against better opponents, so having a higher win rate does not necessarily mean a player will have a higher rating. The rating system takes relative skill level into account, so it _is_ based on how good you are.
9:49 tf is up with thaat damage? And some people say Asuka is broken? Gobou didn't reach this level just relying on the character's alleged "broken" mechanics. He himself expressed how mentally exhausting is using Asuka but nah when you appear better you just have to be called "broken" (not the player, the character 🙄).
This combo started off of 2p which means the combo has prorated damage. Giovanna also had more than 50 tension which means her defense gets drastically better, increasing from taking 1.03x damage normally to 0.97x damage with tension. He used wild assault to extend the combo which also increases damage scaling massively for any hits after the wild assault. This is why it did barely any damage. Also, there are very few characters who can even attempt a combo like this from 2p without forcing a wild assault way earlier in the combo (example sol does 2p 6p WA to even be able to extend).
To be clear, I'm new to fighting games, and to GGST. My question is, how can be Asoka fair? His spells literally occupy every pixel on screen. I'm having a really hard time getting close to him. I'm a Gio main, any tips for me?
I play gio as well and my best guess is to abuse her dash block. She has by far the best dash in the game so you really want to pay attention to asukas current deck and mana supply. If he has no projectiles or mana he'll either have to recharge or reset his deck both of which are opening to work your way in. Obviously this is gonna take forever so make sure to FD in neutral as much as you can to minimize chip damage. Finally when you work your way in, NEVER let him breathe and utilize her suffocating and high paced pressure since his defensive options are extremely poor. Utilize WA to mitigate his burst as well
Cause very few people can play asuka as well as gobou. Gobou is a pro and crazy at the game, meanwhile the average asuka just spams whatever spells they have and don’t try to switch them or use them tactically.
You can hit the cubes, part of fighting Asuka is recognizing whats on screen, what you can hit and what you cant. Paying close attention to his mana also helps quite a lot.
Round start standing heavy slash is your best friend when the Asuka tries to throw cubes at you at round start or tries to use the fire octagon. After that the Asuka would probably try to either do a jump to whiff punish you or a back dash into cubs, jump loses to Sol Nascente (623s) and back dash loses to trovao (236k), but there is the chance that your timing will be off and you will just get hit by some cubes on trovao I recommend doing trovao at round start if you are sure the Asuka will dash same with Sol Nascente. Don't let him play the game jump cancel close slash if he has tension or if you get a counter hit close slash, he has limited defensive options and he would abuse things like round start burst or yellow Roman cancel, so expect Asuka players to be using those more than your usual player

Watch his mana, punch the cubes out of the air, get in when he has low mana, do a billion damage. The lower his mana, the more damage he takes. At 0 mana he can get TOD’d by nearly the entire cast. He is the definition of a high risk high reward character. Also Gobou is just literally insane and makes this look very easy.
I can see why Guilty Gear veterans drop this game. Wtf are you supposed to do against this broken zoning? So glad my main game is Tekken so I don't have to deal with this boring meta.
Yeah Guilty Gear veterans definitely haven’t dealt with obnoxious zoning and setplay before. Justice, Testament, Xrd Johnny, Elphelt, Dizzy (in both +R and Xrd!). Here’s a tip: If you have zero knowledge of a media-format’s history, try not to make statements based on it!
They attack the cubes - a lot of them break on hit, and some projectiles like Happy Chaos' gun can even straight-up delete the whole screen's worth based on which move was used Oh, and also Asuka is mentally taxing to play as he requires the user to micromanage mana (if he runs out he dies in a single hit), spell slots, and currently available spells (which are randomized), on top of which deck of spells out of 3 he uses Gobou is just insane enough to manage all of these, but the average human being pretty much breaks mentally when trying to play Asuka
