@Brian McLogan sir, I was here 6 years ago when I was in highschool. Now that I'm takin my SAT equivalent exam, I am so thankful that you helped me in my basic maths. I, together with many students you helped throughout the years, owe you big time.
Watching this because my nephew needs help with his homework. I'm watching in the bathroom right now. In a sec, I'll go out there and make myself look smart in front of him. Wish me luck.
I have a simpler way of doing this (mental computation without wring on the board). Just focus on the fractions 1/4 and 2/3 and convert them to their LCD (least common denominator) equivalent, 3/12 and 8/12, respectively. Now proceed with addition of the whole numbers 5 + 2 = 7 then followed by the fractions 3/12 + 8/12 = 11/12, Finally, combine the two results -> 7 11/12.
I mean, I was in the worst class, which means my teachers are calling us dumb, though I found everything we did in maths easy, and now tomorrow I’m moving to a different maths class and I’m doing a tests tomorrow in maths so I’m studying
