Vince tends to pack a lot of info into his projects so it takes a few rewatching sessions to glean everything he's trying to say. What I like is that the content stays with you long time after the initial exposure. I'll be watching something else on another media/platform, and either the topic/point will trigger a flashback to a scene or line from Vince's show. As an Asian American, the Show is as educational as it is entertaining.
What I meant was just both Ern and Vince were put into surreal, is this real or perception moments. For example, when Vince was at the theme park with his girl, a lot of what’s going on is surreal in the way Paper Boi was tripping in Amsterdam in one of the later Atlanta seasons. So the storytelling in a way is similar but they aren’t 1:1 comparisons. Atlanta opened the door for the (in my opinion) more grounded Vince Staples show.

Those short orders are customary now. 6-8 is the move for shows that didn’t come out pre-pandemic.
