    On solar the max input is only 120 watts, not 150. I found out when my power station was never able to go above 117 watts and then contacted Baldar. The actual set values are wall brick 150w, car 60w, and solar 120w maximums.

    Thank you for your video… I am really having a hard time figuring out what I need or if what if there is what I need. I have a ninja wood fire pro connect xl grill! I’m trying to figure out if this will for for that so I can take the grill out camping!

    Good video. The charging time is just too slow on this one. It's baffling that the AC input is lower than the DC input. I'm thinking for the price point and size the Ecoflo Delta, Bluetti 70, or even something like the Oupes, are all better. I just got an EB3A and it takes 200 watts solar and the AC charges at 268 watts which is also the battery capacity. Thanks for the videos and keep them coming it helps people like me research before we spend the big money.

    Hi Gavin, You always deliver the necessary "411" Don't know if you remember I asked about portable power stations? Said I was shopping around for affordable ones. That Pioneer 100w might be the one. I'll be watching out and hopefully you'll test some more so I'll have more options. Great job as always, thanks.

    Hi, I just bought one tested it right away but for some reason it keeps turning off. Also the adapter gets really hot when charging.

      Is it overloading or it’s just shut off by itself? How many watts are you pulling?

      I’m you can use it anywhere as long as you can charge it, you can always just charge it with Solar👍🏾

    72% efficiency? Love 'ya man but no bueno. Close but no cigar. My gut feeling is it should be more like 80%. Still an excellent video though.

    • @GeneratorReviews
      @GeneratorReviews  2 года назад

      Yeah it’s about 8% short but for the price and the size it really performed great I’m just surprised it held 1000 W for almost an hour without overheating

      The capacity test was run right at the rated capacity. Usually the “sweet spot” of efficiency is closer to 50% of capacity so you might well see a big bump by running one of those 500 watt lights, for example

    As aways, great content and well presented! I love your practical use examples. I have to ask tough, why these portable power stations use the name "Generator"? These aren't generators, they are nicely packaged batteries. They generate nothing. They are a convertor, converting DC to AC, but they are not generators. Also, why use the name "Solar" when there is no solar involved? It is not solar without a solar panel. Thanks for your continuing stream of quality information. I have definitely made informed buying decisions based on what I have learned from your channel.

      I prefer the term portable power station but I guess they do generate electricity from a battery and inverter. 🤷🏽‍♂️
