UCL MAGIC!! SWISS SUPER LEAGUE 2025: VLOG #80 BSC YOUNG BOYS VS RED STAR BELGRADE @ WANKDORF STADIUM

Onto stop numero 3! A short train ride away takes me to the astounding "capital" of the country, Bern. I would be very fortunate to find my way into the very lovely Wankdorf Stadium to catch the closing match of the Uefa champions league group stage between hosts, BSC Young Boys and the visiting team of Red Star Belgrade, all the way from Serbia! Quite truthfully, I wasn't too sure whether this would be the 3rd episode, but I managed to secure a ticket very last minute and well it worked out not just for the better, but literally the best!
I was hugely impressed by Bern and its jaw-dropping scenery. I didn't have too much time to record because I didn't know I'd be attending until around 4 or 5 pm. That being said, the very little I did was stellar! I even managed to stumble into the visiting ultras and got to experience their intimidating, yet thrilling display of antics and chants! It really felt like a UCL night!! Pure magic!! Then the walk to the stadium was exquisite and serene for I managed to see the overlook of the old town of Bern which may I say was something truly out of a fairytale!
As I approached the stadium, the lighting was rather dimmer than what I expected, but the crowds were swarming! I purchased a quick match day scarf of an outside vendor for 14 Francs and proceeded to maneuver in between the crowds before lining up to enter. A small wait to get inside and man those stairs were steep, but worth every step! The place was livid and I quickly went for my usual match beer before heading down to my seat. I kid you not, I had no idea where I'd be seating and don't get me wrong the ticket was more than what I would've hoped for, but in the end it all made sense! I would find myself sitting dead center, basically first row right behind the team benches and with the UCL logo right in front of me was an actual dream! Never did I think I'd get to experience something I love and admire so up close and personal! Absolutely grateful and blessed.
The official anthem would shortly start up and ring soothingly through my ears, bringing chills throughout my body. Flashing lights, chants, and an insane tifo display by the Young Boys Ultras was both magisterial and unforgettable. Right before the whistle for the start of the match would blow, I gave my mate a quick video call to demonstrate what exactly I was living and you could clearly hear my enthusiasm and excitement. lol The match began. The majority of the game was a stalemate and even though I would've enjoyed more goals, I'm lucky to have witnessed an absolute missile to break the deadlock, something I wish I would've recorded in live time so I must apologize. The opposition really were the brighter side that evening creating, possessing, and defending very well. The fans didn't give up, but in the end it wasn't enough to get them on the scoresheet.
I had an absolute time and I will always hold this experience very dearly to my heart. UCL magic really is something special. So go check it out and I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did! Can't wait for the next stop! Thanks for tuning in!
