First I love your style bee hives. Second your work with bees always amazes me . Not something that I think I want to do but you make it look easy. Thanks!
Happy bees. You were breathing pretty heavy. It has to be pretty hot with that suit on. Thanks for sharing. My husband wants to do bees for honey. But, I am to scared.
Yes. If they have deeps with edge frames of honey plus Supers, then they don’t need to be fed. Some people take Supers and still don’t feed as long as the colony is strong as has some stores. I like to err on the side of caution as a colony going into winter without good stores may not survive.
The more I watch and learn about bees the more I think this maybe something to try down the road.
You should! My next bee video is gonna be fun too - From Bee to Bottle!!!
Thank you for sharing! Hugs and love to you and your family. ❤️✝🤗 Have a beautiful and blessed week. God Bless ❤️✝🤗

10:18. Queen is on the left brace of the frame by the green rubber band.
SWEET! Thanks!
I almost smashed her putting the frame back in, huh?
Thanks for sharing!!! Your videos are so professional, the beginning look like a commercial on T.V. Great job!!!
Wow! Thank you so much!
In the Spring I am going to invest in a bee hive. I can’t wait.
Make sure to get two! Much easier to have one to judge and take resources if needed.
@@RidgeLife Thank you for the advice sir.
@@MickyBellRoberts You will love Beekeeping. .
Hello from Minnesota!

First I love your style bee hives. Second your work with bees always amazes me . Not something that I think I want to do but you make it look easy. Thanks!
Thank you! It is very rewarding!
Nice healthy looking bees! My winter project is building a top bar or 2. I just like the look of them lol.
Those are cool: you should look into long Langstroth horizontal hives. I may make one for next year.
I’ll look into them! Thanks Tim!
I'm doing my first les crowder long hive here in Texas
@@jarnold8803 they look similar to top bars. I'll have to check them out!
Bee time!
Oh yeah!
Great video! keep on Pushing Brother
Thank you so much.
Way to go! Have you considered bucket feeders? Super easy, fast and really help reduce robbing. Love to talk more about them should you be interested.
Yeah, those are pretty cool for sure.
Looking good! Snip those rubber bands out next time.
Thx! Will do. I was worried about spending too much time and the comb wasn’t fully supported on all sides yet. Will do next time for sure. Thx
Your Bee Hive collection is just amazing. Do you ever have problems with ants?
Not too bad. A strong hive keeps them out for the most part.
I bought a top feeder. I may need an inner feeder 🍺🍺
I’ve fed smaller colonies with top feeders too just can’t put too much it will ferment.
Happy bees. You were breathing pretty heavy. It has to be pretty hot with that suit on. Thanks for sharing. My husband wants to do bees for honey. But, I am to scared.
Oh it was Hot!!! Bed are so fun!!
My aunt loves that walking dead show
Ha!
That's allot of casualties
Was a wild show!
Interesting info Tim 🤙🏼😁👍🏼
How long does that last the amount you poured?
When it’s really dry, they can go through it in a day! Usually A few days though to a week if fill them up.
Cane or Beet sugar or does it matter? Another interesting video. Good job Tim!
Hmm. Never heard of anyone using Beet sugar for bees but google says its ok.
@@RidgeLife most sugar on the shelves is beet sugar. If it doesn’t say pure cane sugar it’s most likely from beets.
@@WestTennessee I did not know that.
@@RidgeLife Walmart only has one pure cane sugar which is what I feed my hummingbirds. It probably don’t matter but……………🤔😏☺️
You had some crazy robbing happen. I've never used frame feeders, how do you like them?
I prefer top feeders but think I will like these but should have gotten one size smaller for sure.
Sir very nice and in which months youexperience summer dearth, which country
Mine is July and August. I am located in west Tennessee, USA. Thx
Do you only feed the hives you take honey from? If you didn’t take all the honey and still have supers on, leave them on and skip feeding, right?
Yes. If they have deeps with edge frames of honey plus Supers, then they don’t need to be fed. Some people take Supers and still don’t feed as long as the colony is strong as has some stores. I like to err on the side of caution as a colony going into winter without good stores may not survive.
Why didn't you have shorts and a t-shirt like some other Beekeepers? Lol
My mom was there. Don’t you know when mom’s there you gotta wear your suit? Ha! Oh you doooo!
@@RidgeLife Haha. . True true. .
You are breathing heavy.... gonna have to get you exercising or something buddy
Looks good
Dude it was HOT!!!
@@RidgeLife come on Tim-Bob I'm just harassing ya 😄
