Snap slowly throwing itself into the trash can
The problem is not enough people speak up or care in the snap community. Slowly, they have been testing our reactions and getting away with making the game more whale friendly.
A good few people have been banned from the discord for bringing these things up. So I think there is a community based system that blocks some of the feedback.
It's crazy how SD can take something positive and make it feel so bad. It's literally just free stuff for the community, just for playing, and it reads and feels like shit
According to people on Reddit who have Leagues, Conquest counts for League points. RIP the unspoken rule of one round proving grounds.
Yeah you can just play conquest it's also easily the best way to get points from my short understanding of what I did.

buy 10 variants for 2K tokens is a joke or grind for months to earn maybe 2/3K. Absolutely ridiculous
I feel like there going to replace the Gold tickets with perk, also I feel like they should make it so that we can stack the amount of perks we have and that they don't go away after the league ends.
I see why they’re testing this by region first. See how much backlash it generates, walk it back slightly, and get players used to buying competitive edges.

I think you're right on SD releasing this as is now, then garnering some goodwill when they "fix" it. I've been playing since Zabu's release and it's notoriously tough to be f2p, there's basically no reward structure for f2p players.

seeing jeff hoogland’s recent breakdown of how much it costs to maintain a full collection in this game, alongside with this league system and endless series 5 cards in sight, i think i’m reaching a breaking point with this game. it is genuinely ruining my life in a lot of ways, i use all my extra money i previously used on leisure activities to dump into this never ending grind. really hope some big changes come soon but i highly doubt it
Just stop spending. It was hard at first, then I just realized the treadmill never ends and I’m happier having the money to save or spend elsewhere.
@@MapleYum absolutely, and to be fair i spend wayyyy less than i used to, but that’s mostly due to me having every card now, i would not recommend this game to anyone, and i feel bad for getting two of my good friends into it. one already quit the game and the other is on his way out too but not before they also dumped money into it

SD drops four series 5 cards a month (+ season pass card).
1. Don't aim for aim for a full collection you are not a content creator 😅
2. Remember: some cards, even months, ARE skippable.
3. Aim for 1-3 cards a month and just get ones that specifically enhance decks you already play.

This seems silly. I think they are wasting their time on this. It’s still the same mode. I don’t even play Conquest because it’s essentially the same thing. They really need to look into more fun ways the play the game because the core gameplay is so good, but the game is getting stale very quickly.
Respectfully disagree. Conquest is fundamentally different in that learning your opponents deck over multiple games allows for more strategic plays from both players and more rewarding decision making.
Surprise decks (Galactus) lose their bite when the opponent knows your game plan the following round.
They should just add a draft gamemode
@@ProjektReaper They should give us a sideboard in conquest, no point in learning your opponent's deck if you can't adapt. It's still essentially the same game.
you made some good points on this video. I play casually, don't have a complete collection and have never made it past level 80. Seems like I will end up with some additional resources and if I get lucky with the league I am put in I may end up in the top 10 (not likely)... looks like a mostly 100 credit and a few boosters a few times a month for me.
Finally a way to put whales against eachother in a bottle of wallets, a very important element this game was lacking. It's funny to observe this game without actually playing it, less funny if you care more than that though i imagine.
The point structure is also whack. It's +/- 25 cube won or lost and 100 for a win. So losing 4 cubes and then winning 1 is a net gain. So someone with a 0.0 cube rate and 50% win rate will climb so long as they have the hours to put in during the event
I’m in one of the euro server trials - conquest games count (I was surprised..). You get more points for wins than points deducted for losses, but unless you’re playing all the time there seems little point taking this seriously. At present I’m about mid table just playing casually - there are a group of around 20 ish of us within catching distance of each other, then there’s about 3 or 4 players who are so far ahead of the rest of us there’s literally no point trying to catch them. It’s interesting I suppose but wouldn’t take it seriously.
Thanks for the info, that’s crazy it counts conquest it’s going to mess with proving grounds insta snaps or people will just use that to far.
Haven't finished video yet but have a down min at work while driving. Leagues should add points to have certain cards in deck and less points for certain cards, could change once a day or every few days to keep everyone from just playing best decks.
I played from the beginning until may/23. I returned playing on April/24 and, until now, I only have gained 1 S4 card and 2 S5 (these 2 from the season pass). All other cards that I gained are S3, and I still don't have all of them. My level collection is over 4000.
I tried to return, but they keep doing this shit game modes to whales and people who have 8+ hours to spend every day to a MOBILE GAME, well.. not that mobile anymore.
I'm quitting again. RIP

Conquest is something that keeps me from having fun in the game. I literally play 3-4 games just to get a variant or some credits and/or gold. There is nothing to incentivize me to play the gamemode and tbh if they decided to put a PvE mode like LoR did i think it would be more interesting than this. But who am i to talk, corporate will always be money hungry

JFC. I didn’t fully read this info. Just browsed the article. This is incredibly disappointing. Think I may go back to tabletop TCG gaming(Sorcery TCG is actually very fun). With each passing month in SNAP there is more and more monetization everywhere. Bought the season pass this month only to be shafted on the ladder event rewards bc you HAVE to purchase the damn pass off the webshop and not in game to get credit. Which is just shady as hell.
SD can't introduce anything without figuring out a way too drain more money from the players.
I just want to be in a league with people that play as much as me.
The cube rush was stupid. Very few got the rewards. Tlsg got it, and he played so much to do it. It was just for a title.
Top rewards only go to those who can buy the most perks and everyone else gets to be crabs in a bucket.

An easy fix would be to let you choose one perk every reset for free and have it last the day. They could then charge you the same gold prices if you want to swap before the daily reset. Heavens forbid they only make a good amount of money instead of all of it 🤦

I'm just not getting anything other than the Season Pass anymore, it's Good Value, you can make enough decks to get to Infinite as is. If Leagues are just you're in them by default, for free, giving you more stuff, they're fine

It's only for those who pay and sweat while paying. I couldn't care but hey it's some free random boosters I guess. Matters not to me. I just act like it's not there which is the good thing about it, it can be ignored.
I think they should make the perks always free and you choose either one of the two perks one or the other. Then put it on a hour or two cool down this would cause people to possible play the game more because they want to get that free buff. It should be against the law to say the words competitive and have it p2w. I thought the goal was to make snap competitive to make it more attractive to as many people as possible adding any p2w aspect is gonna force people out the game every time you add a way to take money and crazy amounts is just pushing your community away.
Should have been like MTGO leagues (if they still exist or how I remember them). Play X games per days/week that count toward your league score and be done with it. Players should be able to toggle "This next match counts for my League points", which ensures match making doesn't give you a bot and really tries to narrow down the MMR spread. Screw these little P2W powerups.
This system seems like some idiotic thing out of Candy Crush or some bullshit Zynga game.
This game is more expensive than Hearthstone like in a Hearthstone. You pay like a hundred bucks and you get every card in the expansion. Basically here you spend a hundred bucks and you get like maybe two cards. I'd rather them just go to a pack system dusting system just like every other card game does it.
