I'm playing this deck in normal TCG format and getting ideas from various decklist; would you consider playing 3x Aluber and 3x B-Fusion if you had the opportunity to do so?
Thanks for the video! I'm gonna be honest, Branded Darklords is my least favorite Darklords build, because it feels like playing Branded with Ixchel as draw power. And in the rare occasions I summon The First Darklord, they can't even interact with the Branded cards since none of them are fairy. I know it's 'worse', but I like playing the Despia Darklords variant better.
I somewhat agree, branded Darklord feels pretty stale doing the same thing over and over. Regular Darklord Despia feels more fun and dynamic but any interruption spells doom for it 😅. The good thing is that there are some upcoming useful cards for that variant, as well as Darklord Purrely
I agree, the Despia variant is fragile 😂. But I still love it and when things go right, it is so fun and satisfying! Anyway, it is very good to have options, and that's why I appreciate your videos! Plus, you are a super smart player and even though I've been playing Darklord for years, I've learned A LOT watching your gameplays. I will check out the Purrely variant! Thanks!
The First Darklord can revive Kristya since it is a fairy, but of course remember that you can't special anything after it hits the field. Another way to revive it is with Darklord Contact > Darklord Superbia > Kristya
@@prevhalramsaran4714 Sorry for the late reply! I'm assuming that the boss monster is the issue here which is unaffected by your monster effects - you'll want to prioritize your spell/trap effects to remove it from the field. If you're in a position to banish their smaller scareclaw monsters then that would also slow down your opponents ability to take you down, so if you had mirrorjade on the field then try to banish them if possible. Superpoly + any of your despias/albaz can remove it, as well as Branded Banishment. Darklord Uprising can destroy it but make sure you're using it as an actual trap instead of copying the effect with the darklords on the field. Sometimes you'll have aluber activate its GY effect to return to the field when they destroy your Fusions, so that can be a small another small way to interrupt them by negating Scareclaw Astra (or other scareclaw monsters that are helping Scareclaw Tri-Heart)
Of course, these replays are cherry-picked so that I can show more entertaining duels. While this deck *could* get you to Master V, it’s more so for those that want to play it up to Diamond.
But it's not that your hand will ALWAYS suck. Its all about deck building and proportions. I had the brick only once or twice in 10 hands. Branded is already too good in breaking the boards for going second and one branded fusion gives you plenty of interactions.
It does become harder to justify in higher ranks so it will always be seen as a fun/casual deck for me. I think most people who want to play it aren’t trying to reach Master 1 tbf
Raigeki-like effects doesn't do anything of value against the meta atm. Either way it's not used in newer Darklord decks since Morningstar is simply better as your tribute summon

3x Brafu would be a huge upgrade for consistency, but I think going from 2 to 3 Aluber won't be as noticeable.

I appreciate these videos Darklords are my favorite archetype but I always have a hard time finding ways to make them viable
