Hii Tristan! You are such a great actor and an amazing inspiration! I was watching stranger things yesterday and noticed how amazing your performance was👏👏
AWESOME VIDEO! Millie is my age and she has inspired me since I was 13 by how professionally she carries herself. I definitely agree that the media has given her too much undeserved hate.
I think you did a fantastic job in Stranger Things. I really was not the hugest fan of 002, but in my opinion, the more you dislike a character, the better the actor is. I honestly thought that you were gonna be similar to 002 but now that I've watched a couple of your videos, I see that your nothing like him which just makes me like your character even more than I did before. Keep up the amazing work, you're doing great! Have a nice day!
Millie Bobby brown was always said to be a celebrity who’s full of herself and is a diva but in reality most people who have worked with her have said she’s lovely to work with. I don’t think she deserved all that hate as a child either she was just young and exited. Also great video!
People in the industry know that Millie was never the problem, she’s lovely. I know multiple people who worked on ST at Netflix and they said it’s her dad / manager who is a nightmare.
I just discovered your channel this morning. I am a improviser doing improv now for ongoing 5 years now at my local theater trying to make it in the semi-big leagues. Working with Millie is one of my dream goals after hearing how much kind and support she brings into the room. Thanks so much for talking with behind the scenes experience you've had with her Tristan. Thanks for the insights as well Tristan.
I am happy to have seen this, because I adore her...and some of the stuff you see online one would think otherwise. Obviously can't believe all that. Love her!!!!!!!
I feel like sometimes people forget that MOST people on working sets.. are just regular people. Yes, there will always be yes men/women, and there will always be spoiled brat actors. But MOST the time on set… everyone just feels normal. They’re coworkers. Everyone’s there for the same job, essentially. Whether you’re a boom operator, a PA, the director, main cast, background actor, stand in, stunt performer, prop master, or work craft services. I think most people tend to be taken aback by how normal actors are. Nine times out of ten (okay maybe more like 8 out of 10 lol) they’re just pretty typical, normal people who are at work. This is such the norm in fact that those spoiled pretentious Hollywood types almost always get a bad reputation on the inside and publicly. No one wants to work with them, or like them. They get left out of the fold. Everyone else lets them go pretend they’re super important, while the rest of the cast and crew go out to dinner or make emergency trips to Disney world (something walking dead actors did lol), or have movie night, or are just chilling on set together goofing off. You’re always going to run into those handful of actors if you work on sets. But the MAJORITY of people on sets are just normal people and actors would feel reeeeeeeal awkward if they were somehow treated wholly different, almost as if they’re a prop or something. It wouldnt be a good or conducive working environment to act like you’re better than everyone else, and most people understand that from the jump when on a working set, whether it’s their first project or they’re an international icon. How miserable would it be to work on a set where you can’t, don’t, or won’t get close to anyone who you don’t perceive as “on your level”…? It just rarely happens honestly.
I never heard about a series that’s awesome I’ll keep that in the back pocket. I also love how you can lower your own stakes on set by thinking you’re increasingly improving rather than hitting it out of the park first take. Give yourself the reasonable time you need. Glad to hear my instincts about Millie as a person were right and the smear videos were just that. I think a lot of actor's getting known for being rude horrible people come down to what Iggy Pop once said: "A celebrity can never afford to be having a bad day in public. That's all it takes to get a reputation as a DIFFICULT celebrity..."
I hate that people make her out to be horrible. She’s amazing and genuine. And maybe if I’m lucky enough, I’ll get to meet her, she gets so much hate for absolutely no reason. I love this video! And your performance was AMAZING!!
Tbh I honestly believe Nikocado Avocado was doing an impression of Two (you) in his "Two Steps Ahead." Just wanted to throw that out there, Tristan. Anyway, I love the concept of the "series." Love this video! Calling people by their name is so important - one of my tutors at music school (Patrick Duff from the band Strangelove) did that with us and he was beloved by all (though it was also because he had such a different, quirky personality). Getting your body in the right "state" before starting and the "series" thing are such useful tricks to know. I wish they taught us these things in acting/drama school (spoiler alert: they didn't, but we did do a lot of yoga and wandering around the room "experimenting" all the letters of the alphabet 🤦♀🙄 )
when you were talking about how most actors think that how big their role depends on the number of lines, my dad actually said the same thing, and I had entire refute against him 🤣 love ur vids, you manage to keep someone like me, who has a small attention span, engaged the entire time. Not an actor, DP here! Just a heads up on series slates, as an actor you can ask for them, but please try not to over do this, it does add to a DiTs job at the end of the day and makes records of which take is which slightly more complex, but outside of that, when shooting on film, 16mm or 35mm, you’ll only have approximately 10 minutes to actually do your take, and if you’re on an indie that doesn’t have much stock, don’t be surprised if the dp or director don’t let you do a series. Always ask if you need something though! Any HoD that is good at their job will try and help actors get the best performance possible, even if you ask for something that seems like a major change from the current structure of a scene, if you explain why you need something to all parties involved, and assuming it’s possible, crew will make it happen. That might mean doing a lighting change, changing the camera position ext. as long as you don’t go into it saying “no I won’t do this if I don’t get xyz” and it’s more of a conversation, asking for something will only grow your reputation, as cast and crew will see that you’re trying to make your performance the best it can be, even if what you asked for ends up not being possible
I love this perspective and thank you so much for sharing this! Yes, I would definitely only ask for the series on like a pivotal breakdown the character needs to have. I love that you mentioned to treat it like a conversation not a demand. I appreciate you for watching my video!
This is PREMIUM advice to actors that turn down roles based on how many lines a character has in addition to screentime of course, but in reality could lead to bigger things if they do well with the body/facial expressions❤
It's so refreshing to hear of a A list actor actually being a genuinely good person when on set, of course you have keanu reeves who truly is the nicest guy in Hollywood (which is why Hollywood hates him), Denzel Washington and Robert denero but I'm struggling to think of many other examples.
I was a teacher of young children- I learnt life changing life lessons from my students. She has nothing to do with it, don’t think you can’t learn from anyone of any age. I love the light of this video.
She was super kind when they all came to the Denver comic con. Her parents, maybe her Dad, was always with her, but let her talk and stepped in when needed. (she was underage at the time)
Hey Tristan, I signed up for your community because you're very skilled and experienced. I don't want to walk on to a set green and I think this community could really help me with that, I certainly know a good amount about acting but I'm just not comfortable with letting this opportunity slip by without any effort on my end.
Some people dont like confident women and try to depict them as self centred and b*tchy I remember lots of ppl on the internet making clips of her trying to show her as “rude” …
Your acting was so good it surprised me so much like honestly kept repeating your scenes !!! Your the best wish you was in season 5 but vecna just slaughtered Everyone
Wow that is amazing, thank you so much for such an insightful and helpful video! If you don’t mind me asking, train/ coach with? Your acting chops are really good!🔥
These are things audiences don’t think about, and when one of your favorite actors isn’t cast as much as you would like, it might because they don’t follow roles like these. Also it’s why they cast the same actors instead of taking a chance on new actors because it’s hard to know what you’re getting sometimes when you hire and script and if Scarlet Johansson has proved herself as a qualified, easy to work with actor, then it’s less risk they have to think about.
I've always felt that being in a production of any kind was an all-for-one experience. The small exception is that the director gets the credit but also gets the blame. Still, when you're there it's a group effort. I would imagine that in some cases it's not that and for those it must be kind of miserable on set and probably translates to being not much of a success in the end. On the "series" or ramping things up, I was probably doing the same thing without knowing it when I was in that small film where I played a bad guy. I remember thinking of a behind the scenes doc that Stanley Kubrick's daughter did on The Shining and watching Jack Nicholson doing the same kind of thing you described. So, I did the same thing Nicholson did for The Shining on our, set going through the scenes over and over and building it up. I worried that I might be taking it too far but I figured the director would tell me if that was the case. Anyway, this was a great video! Thanks!
Currently making the biggest homemade movie in my series I'm making on my channel, and these little lessons taught me alot that I didnt know before. I'll be sure to keep these in mind for when I do film it!
i see you made a video from a comment i posted, i know you made a short a while ago but this is dope! i'm glad you learned a lot from Millie! lets go! by the way you were awesome !hope to see you in more projects soon.
I keep hearing from the people who've actually worked with her that she's great on set. Don't know why people got so interested in trying to make her look nasty, it just makes them look like caty a-holes tbh. Loved hearing your stories from the show! Season 4 was awesome, loved all the Lab scenes.

Really cool behind-the-scenes info about such a great show. Thank you for an awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed!
Everytime i saw the scene where u were saying she was weak i got so mad! that proves how good of a actor you are
I love to watch your videos Tristan you know you are so kind❤❤❤ love your vids
U seem like such a nice guy 😊
3:35 is why i love the character Norm from the Fallout tv show
Very impressed by your performance also i am looking forward your other works 👏
Fantastic role. Great video.
Your electrocution scene broke me. It was so heartbreaking. You did a fabulous job.
It's so refreshing to hear of a A list actor actually being a genuinely good person when on set, of course you have keanu reeves who truly is the nicest guy in Hollywood (which is why Hollywood hates him), Denzel Washington and Robert denero but I'm struggling to think of many other examples.
I loved your character dude! 2 made me really mad adn upset for 11, you did a great job!
The picture you had up makes it look like she could play Dorothy in a Wizard of Oz remake
Dude, I thought you were so good as 002! Your vids are awesome! Have a great day! 😊
Wow, great video! Thanks for the insights about MBB and thank you for letting us into your world!
Thank you and hopefully this taught a few cool acting lessons in the process!
Loved it! It's amazing to know❤
Her talent is something else. She reminds me of Elisabeth Moss a little bit. I wanna hear her deliver “DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME!!!!!”
You are a good teacher!
I was a teacher of young children- I learnt life changing life lessons from my students. She has nothing to do with it, don’t think you can’t learn from anyone of any age. I love the light of this video.
I'm glad I watched this post, I normally see bad stuff written about her being a Diva etc.
She was super kind when they all came to the Denver comic con. Her parents, maybe her Dad, was always with her, but let her talk and stepped in when needed. (she was underage at the time)
I mean, how awesome is that! I love positivity on the internet
You did a great job as 2 in stranger things bro I subscribed to you
this video is such good quality omggg
Your acting chops are really good!🔥
I don't understand why people don't talk about his acting too because he did an amazing job in my opinion
At least we know she’s super sweet in real life
Great video !
Thanks for watching!
Just wanna say, you were intimidating AF in season 4. Congrats👏

Can you slide me one
Thanks!
Lol. I'm in love with his voice...
Ive seen costipation from psicokinesis in '70s movie Scanners. They were a lot more costipated 😂😂 than hawkins children
I believe that your acting was incredible. :))
I keep hearing from the people who've actually worked with her that she's great on set. Don't know why people got so interested in trying to make her look nasty, it just makes them look like caty a-holes tbh. Loved hearing your stories from the show! Season 4 was awesome, loved all the Lab scenes.
This is amazing I subbed to you I love st you just got a new fan❤❤❤❤
Acting on Netflix is my dream 😊
You were acting so good i actually hated you😂
