I just watched 3 videos back to back all talking about different ways to get over the fear and all of them have been different. I like yours the most because you learn another skill that you probably need to know anyway, before hand!
This method is better because first of all, learning the suicide kip up is much easier and less scary and, second of all, you won't have a habit of turning when doing back handsprings.
If you are reading this, thank you! The floor mats recently came back to my gym and I got it as soon as I kept trying. Now I gotta polish it and do it from standing, thanks again
no way I just found this video now, I actually did my 1st & last back handspring while doing continuous kip ups back in 2010 & kip ups used to be my favorite move at that time. Now I think I'm gonna learn doing kip ups again. Great videos man, I love how you show a different variations on how to learn back handspring & any other flips.
Hxneybee i have mine on the trampoline, but i’m too afraid to do it on the ground, and i don’t know how to work up to it, but i want it really badly, but i’m too afraid to just throw it.
Dude, that's like the best way I've ever seen it explained! I can do one on a trampoline but I've never moved to the ground because I don't want to crack my skull open. I can do a kip up too, so you may have just given me the missing piece to something I've wanted to learn for a LONG time bro! THANK YOU!
I’ve watched backflip fear vids for years and this one honestly I think I can do it! It’s too easy and I can honestly pile a shit ton on pillows in my living room and go for it, I’m ready!
Nicholai Gjøstøl, the thing that really helped me get over it was a spotter, I had some pads underneath me, and she spotted me, and the fear seemed to melt away a lot quicker
This is the one technique that worked for me back then too. It works because when you see it and think about how it will help you learn the move (back handspring), everything inside you just click. If you feel that click, go do it. A tip for tucking your head when practicing this move is to LOOK AT YOUR BELLY BUTTON. That'd automatically make you tuck your head, and you can just focus on catching yourself without worrying. Hope this helps.
I learned to do kip-up and front handspring, your videos made me to learn these skills and i'm very thankful to you man!!😍❤ My next target is the back handspring!!
wtf i've been watching your older videos about back handspring because i have been trying to learn it, and I missed out on the new one? Which was uploaded 1 day before i started trying. Time to click that bell for notifications!
I do feel a little discouraged, because I don't believe I'm gonna have enough arm strength to support my body upsidedown like that... I am going to thank you though. You make my favorite tutorial videos :)
I get the idea and momentum for a kip up, but my mobility at the age of 52 must be severely restricting my ability to get my hands far enough back behind my head to be able to push up off the ground. Is there a sweet spot where your hands need to be to kip up? Are they close to your head or wider than shoulder width?
How I approached it was, I did a cartwheel then i was about to do a back handspring, but I practiced falling back into a back handspring. Then finally I managed
I always thought of doing it this way and thought I might sound foolish. Goes to show how one ought to go with their gut rather than give a fuck about what everyone else will think.
"I can go forward if I want but I can also go backwards". This will be like my new motto

Mar • ᴅᴀɴᴄᴇ Ofc you wouldn’t Remember that was 2 years ago😂😂.
Man I love this method, especially since the Kip-up isn't too difficult!
My wrists can’t bend back enough if I try this I’ll snap them... how do I stop this? Is there a way to exercise my wrists and make them more flexible?
Also try putting your knees on the ground and using the floor to bend them in different directions
You should make a merch written on it "But you gatta FOCUS !"
You’ve got a cool delivery style. Enjoyed your sense of inspirational humor
Man you are a genius. I salute you for this solution.
This tutorial is legit and is the only way i relearn bhs due to fear and this prevents from going sideways habit

Thank you man for advising easy tips to Lear this flip
I like this guy he makes a lot of sense
Kick ups are easy, but finding the ground going back is difficult.
I do feel a little discouraged, because I don't believe I'm gonna have enough arm strength to support my body upsidedown like that...
I am going to thank you though. You make my favorite tutorial videos :)
This is fantastic 👏

I always thought of doing it this way and thought I might sound foolish. Goes to show how one ought to go with their gut rather than give a fuck about what everyone else will think.
Brilliant idea for the kip up
That’s such a good idea because I can do a kip up but I’m too scared to do a backhandspring
Omg ty so much I learned it in like 10 mins I knew I can do it
God bless you ! Thank you !!
This may be the help i need! I can do a over the shoulder bastard hand spring easy, but struggling to straighten it out.
i was so confused at the whole 'complicatedness' at the beginning and saw a kip up tutorial on the side panel, and i thought no way.
Thats awesome dude i landed my first back flip and kip-up
