What are your specs?
@kongkongkang intel i5 4th gen i'm not sure about the motherboard but i also have 16gb ram
@@rafaelsantana6096 If it's 4th gen, there should be official USB drivers for it. Look up your MB (or PC if it's an OEM) and get the appropriate xHCI drivers.
But it is strange... perhaps did you forget to include the driver stack from the MSFN site? It is necessary to allow for the generic USB driver to work, as it is a port from Windows 8.
@@kongkongkangi figured out i did in fact forget to do that but when i go to the msfn site i get the error "[[Template forums/front/topics/topic is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]]"

But because you have a 4th gen chip, I would look for the official Intel USB drivers. They'll probably work better than the generic ones ported from Windows 8.
can i help me install it on n100
Good luck with the iGPU
Can you do one for windows 8.1
8.1 is a UEFI OS it will work fine
@ToastedHeadcrab for the drivers bit
just instsalled ultimate edition on my 2 gen intel pc with out any problem.

“Hello Windows Vista”
can someone make working win7 iso? im to lazy to make things from this video
Windows 7 Image Updater link not working upload your file Windows 7 Image Updater gdrive..
Cant you just take a driver dump of the FIleRepository folder from Windows 10 and try installing those drivers from within the device manager in Windows 7 ? Given that I believe that these core functionalities were kept the same between Windows 10 and 7 .
im scared to do this bc i need to edit the uefi like with actual software lol
FINALLY someone who doesn't say "oooh oooh you should update because of secuirty updates...... if you use windows 7 you're dumb..... you should update...."
LIKE NO I WILL DO WHAT I WANT
People used to say 7 was bloated, unstable and stole your information when it first came out, oh how the turns table. XP is better and we all know it.
this! i fully support like daily drive win 8.0 just to piss people off (fully cracked - every software) XD
Get rekt then
Well, dell literally made UEFI Windows 7 for newer Intel platforms ages ago, I've successfully installed on Dell newer Inspiron machines that shipped with Windows 10, although secure boot and TPM can't be enabled as TPM on newer machines are TPM 2.0 and windows 7 only supports 1.0, it's just tricky to get that specific install media as it only shipped with business models like Optiplex and Vostro.
Windows XP and Windows 7 were the only two versions of Windows even fit to use. So glad that Linux had gotten good enough for a daily driver by the time Windows 10 came out as malware in and of itself.
i also did this like 4 months ago, tho i did this for computers that do have csm support, also i released it to the public on github, still, nice video
Whats the music at 3:30 ?

Good video!
Windows 7 has no built in TRIM or wear leveling functionality, the patches work only to a degree. That SSD could wear out way quicker then expected.
Windows 7 does have TRIM. superuser.com/questions/64121/how-can-i-see-if-windows-7-is-using-trim-for-my-ssd-drive
Yes, I am aware that certain SSD protection features are not available on Windows 7. Additionally, the hotfix makes the NVMe a SCSI device, so Crystal Disk Info does not pick it up.
It does. You would need sp1 though
@@tommyking626 Yes, service pack 1 would be a patch as stated. It's not a great implementation of the feature set and often does not work correctly, It has an issues where it will says its working and just flat out not be with some SSDs.

The most important thing is the DRIVER support. You know where the source to check driver compatibility for certain Windows version.
Station-Drivers has been a very good resource for that in the past at least.
if you patch install wim from mage windows 7 iwith missing drivers and aply it from windows 8 (or even 10) installation media it should also be possible to install it whut what do i know

Works on 8.1? Don't ask why, I need 8.1, does all this work on Windows 8.1
You wouldn’t really need to, Win8.1 has native NVMe (but not in the installer, I would use Win10 PE), native USB3, and native UEFI support.
@@kongkongkangWindows 8.1 on my Intel core i7 10750h with GTX 1650 Ti on Dell G5 5500 crashes after install on "getting ready" loading screen. It does not work. Should I try a Windows 10 installer with 8.1 .wim folder?
@@kongkongkang 8.1 not having native NVMe in the installer is kinda BS since the installer literally IS 8.1 just stripped down
why dont you just give us the files? this is really frustrating I cant figure how to modify the acpi file because you so fast and barely explain anything

Interesting study!
To all the knuckle draggers who want to install Windows 7 on their PC - using Windows 7 today is EXACTLY the same as using Windows 95 when Windows 7 came out. 16 year gap.
Only difference is that win95 was completely obsolete by that time but windows 7 is still far more user friendly than the modern garbage
Except that Windows 7 is planned obsolescence.
@@eeaotly it is the same with every windows version. they do things in the hardware realm which hit windows 95 with the AGP slot or they do it in software by releasing a version on visual studio that can not target and build for the older OS.
@@parmakSS I did not know about the Win '95 thing. Can you tell me more? Or tell me where I could find extra info on the subject? When I started learning PC operation Windows '95 was already "retired" (although I think that there were still PCs running it). Its slightly older brother was the cool (and, oh, how temperamental!) kid in the neighbourhood...
@@eeaotly win9x operating system stability depended much on the drivers, since the hardware abstraction layer was not good as in win NT, if any. my preferred version of windows was win95 osr2 and i used it professionally at work until maybe 2003, thanks to the on board graphics chip which had drivers for win95. when they gave me a pentium4 i could not install win95 and i also had problems installing win95 on pentium2 computers with a dedicated AGP VGA card. on my configuration win95 was more stable than win98 and immediately responsive. but, be aware that win9x OS could freeze during demanding events so we have adopted a tactic of saving the document whenever you would pause to think. basically on every paragraph or 3-4 lines of code. to prove on court it would take me time, the planned obsolescence you were talking about, but it was there since mid 90s. for instance, i have a life long habit of installing multiple OSs. you could not install win95 on most of the machines, you could not even install win2000 on many machines past 2008, but you could install dos/win3.11 and have a dual boot system with windows xp. if you are interested in planned software obsolesce en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_Studio , this is how they do it. Visual Studio 6 is the last version to support the Windows 9x platform. Visual Studio 2005 is the last version able to target Win98/WinME. the end. i will be happy to answer more - according to my memory and time.

i'm getting the 0x00000000000000000001a error whilst doing the setup_var step.
i searched it up, i'm using a laptop (specifically Excalibur G770 16gb version with rtx 3050)
however people are saying (and implying) that Casper has locked the UEFI settings so it's unable to change/read it.
summary: i'm having trouble trying to change my Legacy Boot (CSM doesn't exist) option from off and on
the specific command i ran was "setup_var Setup 0xCBA 0x1"
however it gave the massive error of 0x00000000000000001a (Unable to change variable)
if there's any fixes for this, let me know cause i've been trying to achieve windows 7 on this computer since day 1.

Windows 11 needs die. I really wish ms go back and support both window 7 and win10. Even if 7 just got basics newer hardware support/DX 12 and Basic security update. I’d be happy with that.
Everything in windows 10 can be done on win7. Cus windows 10 at is core is still window 7, just with updates core and more bloat. DX 12 can run on windows 7. We seen it happen. World of wars craft got DX 12 support. And yes Imo windows 7 was best os Cus had what 10+ yrs of bug fixed and updates in optimization. It’s far better os imo vs bloated win10 and bigger bloated windows 11.
