Sci Fi Fantasy Lucy Lazer pinup , using smudge sticks for the first time

I know it's #inktober , but I've been inking all year and Saturday a friend from work gave me pencil sketching set their mum was gonna get rid of and it had these paper stump smudge sticks. I've never used them before and infact have tried to avoid smudging since year 10 when my art teacher, (the ironically named) Mr Short told me off for it. Told me it was the Italian method smufato used first for quick tones so not good enough for my weekly homework. Having said that he got "pop art" inspired line work cartoons for the next year and wasn't happy with that either! 😀 anyway as inktober is all about going outside my comfort zone I looked up how to use these smudge sticks and tried to draw Lucy Lazer have a bathe in an alien lake. Old school sci-fi style 😆
